Little Warframe mechanical weirdness, if you're interested.
So I decided to run a lich, looking for that sweet kuva nukor, and I think I might have stumbled onto an interesting little bug to do with Trinity's link ability.
So, the way link works is that while the ability is active you will see an energy tether connecting to a number of nearby enemies. Those enemies will have your damage channeled to them while they are in range. So instead of you taking damage, you redirect it to them. It's a nice ability to avoid dying (which is why I was running trinity, because I can stay alive and relevant better) and the tethers can help you locate enemies that you otherwise miss in crevices and the like.
Now, normally this ability doesn't do anything weird. Because damage just kills things. But something strange started happening in lich murmur farming. Normally enemies will just die when dealt lethal damage, but thralls and liches don't; they only die (or move to the next health bar) if you perform a parazon finisher on them. So when link tries to damage them while they're waiting for the finisher, the ability triggers an auto-finisher if you are within range to perform one.
Normally I would think this is pretty cool (and frankly still do, because I haven't seen anyone else mention this online which means I may have genuinely discovered something). However, part of murmur farming is not doing the finisher on your lich so they stay at base level. And if link is active and you step too close, you will probably trigger an auto-finisher and cause your lich to flee and level up.
