so they declare for the fiftieth time this year. It’s not. Reactionaries are mad and are trying to use GWs abuse of IP laws to claim they are woke and bad cause they wouldn’t let a Nazis use his Nazis themed army at a tourney that one time.

Not new or news if we are honest as GW has been trying to shift away from the Nazis that infest the hobby like a plague in the online sphere while the IRL side is chill and filled with some pretty cool people.

The hobby ain’t dying, you 3d printing some bootlegs ain’t “striking a blow against the woke alphabet mafia” and people will always buy the plastic crack. While 3d printing, silicon and resin molding and such is a great additive you will always buy a new box eventually and your discord isn’t every player in the community.

Not to mention most people online who watch these reactionaries don’t even play. They watch lore videos and maybe the video games but it’s mostly just tourists in the literal sense. Most hobby stores are doing better than two decades ago which is a good thing. But they are gonna be singing to doom of the hobby and hoping the show is gonna suck so they can shove the politics into this, cause it’s all they have in life.

Meanwhile gonna keep enjoying things and caring about the actual issues with the corp like it underpaying its workers, the IP abuse and the accusations of rampant misogyny inside its corp structure as they are real problems not some random space marine being black or a custodies having a vagina.

Warhammer army idea -

A knight house that has been seduced by a gene stealer cult. The lord/lady has been seduced by a member if the cult genetically engineered to be their perfect partner and they now rage an ending war in their sector to conquer as their lover has convinced them of the many armed emperor and his desire to bring the sector into compliance for the day of ascension.

I like this idea purely because as a knight house it can be any combination the player wants. A straight couple, gay couple, plutonic friends. You can spice it up with tragedy by having their partner die or be assassinated at some point and as a knight house honor above all else it is lore accurate to have them conquer and fight to uphold an oath or honor against their enemies even if they are the imperium or chaos enemy. The knight house can be rogue knights at some point or even fall to chaos as the house slowly unravels in their quest. You could also add some drama with the nids arriving and the ruse being exposed or embrace the tradition and have the cult join the knights as the agent falls for the knight lord/lady proper

It also gives an excuse to put a gene stealer cult banner on a knight or have gene stealers hanging off its carapace.
