[Werewolf AU] "Would you like some scritches and belly rubs?" She scratched the top of Joseph's head and cooed affectionately at the two very large werewolves in front of her who were all but making very literal puppy dog eyes at her.

Joseph barked excitedly at the mention of scritches and belly rubs.  His tail wagged.  He flopped on his back effortlessly, wiggling around as his tongue lolled out of his mouth.  The scritches and belly rubs were his!  

Johnny whined jealously in response.  How dare Joseph get the scritches!  They were Johnny’s scritches!  He wanted scritches and belly rubs!  He carefully maneuvered himself so that he could lay down and roll over onto his belly.  Ever since he’d had that altercation with a silver bullet, his legs hadn’t worked that well.

  truly, he does not know what he ever did to deserve such a beauty as her. there is a slight colored tint to his cheeks, and lips curl into a soft smile.

Mary’s face was so close to the window her nose was nearly pressed up against the glass; she had crawled up on top of the lockets to peer into the older girls’ dance session, and her own tap shoes were slung over her arm by their laces. The sound of the dancers ricocheted off the walls and through the glass like gunfire, almost almost almost drowning out the sound of Louisa Dahl shouting down the hall.

She sat back a little, sighed once—then nearly slipped back to the ground as she realised she was being watched. “Who are you?” she yelped, regaining her balance.

Victor wasn’t really in any position for negotiations as he sat in a specialised refrigerated cell in Arkham, but Bruce had always had a soft spot for Mr. Freeze. The only enemy Batman had faced who’s goal wasn’t selfish, he wanted to help Victor, not meddle.

“How are you doing today?” Bruce asked as he took a seat at the table, opposite Nora. He didn’t want to seem as though he was bothering her, but he promised Victor he’d at least check in on Nora every so often.

Jackie took a soft breath, exhaling when she noticed that Nora was okay.  She didn’t entirely understand why throwing herself in the line of a bullet was courageous.  She was mostly bulletproof.  It would take Kryptonite to really bring her down.  

“Humans are really fragile.  I don’t want you to die.  I like you, even if your husband is terrible.”

"Victor, will you actually do anything or are you simply in the mood to just stare at me all day?" She's just affectionately teasing him, reaching one hand out to touch his face. Or close enough.

   it   doesn’t   take   victor   many   seconds   to   respond   to   her.   instead   blue   hues   move   to   search   over   her   face.  seeing   her   at   all   was   if   seeing   her   for   the   first   time.  head   tilts   softly   to   her   touch,   the   warmth   she   gives   off.   ’   both ,   sweetheart.   ’

"Joseph, Dawn!" Nora gestured to two cakes in the table, each made with one of the twins' favourite flavour. "Happy Birthday!"

Joseph and Dawn ran over to the table, jostling each other in their attempts to be first to the cakes.  Sure, they’d both have their own individual cakes, but at the same time, Joseph didn’t want his sister eating his cake.  

“Thank you for the cakes.”  Joseph smiled.

Dawn was already grabbing a fork and starting to dig into the cake without even cutting it.
