Not exactly in the mood for posting regularly again, but my Nightflightversal posts got a lot of attention recently so I'm following up.
When it comes to folks like Nightflight, remember these 3 keys:
Refuse contact
Do not give information
Catalog for a report
Unless it is to an official company, do not ever send DMCA requests directly if you can help it; do that via a lawyer or their firm. A DMCA request will require you to send your first and last name, your place of address, and other identifying details to the person you're sending it to, and if given to a malicious person is an easy way to get doxxed.
Nightflightversal uses a very common trick among malicious people on the internet which is stealing your content to essentially bait you into sending a DMCA request, or something of a similar nature, in a bid to get your personal information.
Do not fall for this. Report it to the platform without giving your personal information, there are means to do this. Also, when you catch people like him, LET THE PUBLIC KNOW!! DO NOT BE SILENT.
SOUND THE ALARM. It helps their account get taken down faster, as well as educating people so that they may keep themselves safe.
