" Mummy, why does Aunt Rikki hate Daddy?"

Loki drew a soft inhale and let it out slowly. “Ah....well:” She started, looking down Leanna. She mauled over the answers she could give as she reached down to scoop up her young child so she could balance her on her knees.
“...You remember how we talked about how daddy walks a darker path and how he does not nice things to people? And you know how we talked about how Aunt Rikki protects people from those that do not nice things to them? Aunt Rikki doesn’t approve or like the things that daddy does and it’s her job and moral obligation to stop him and his acts. Mostly she’s just afraid, my darling. She worries that we’ll get hurt because she loves and she worries.”
A difficult answer to a difficult question: For Loki didn’t want Leanna to fear her father (For Loki had made sure she had Billy’s binding oath to not harm the child in any way - and that stretched to emotional and mental pains; Loki made sure that was part of the magical clause.) She wanted Leanna to come to her own choices, when she was old enough, to how she would respond to Billy.
In the meantime she made sure she understood the gray areas. Understood the paths that light, and dark, and chaotic and Order took and guided her towards walking along the lighter gray areas...to be ‘good’; better then Loki ever could be. To respect life in all forms; and pick the righter choices, but Loki was a chaotic good being - she could only teach what she knew...
Which is where Loki’s ties and gratefulness to those of more sound moral judgements came in....
