The times they spent together as a trine were millions of stellar-cycles ago. The war changed everything. It changed him, Thundercracker and, even if he wouldn't admit it outright, it changed Skywarp. Probably the most, even if he could not see it.
"--and then he starts to mope! As if I came back to deal with him in a mood like that," he grumbled and paced his room, "you saw his face!"
Starscream swiped his servo through the air as he turned to face his micron and he huffed. His wings dipped slightly as he took a second to calm down.
"I have other things to worry about," he said before tilting his helm and nodding, "of course, I am part of the trine and it is my job, but he is not a sparkling".
The silver Seeker crossed his arms over his chassis as Gul continued to chirp at him.
"Oh so now it's my fault," he wondered in a blatantly sarcastic tone.
He loved Skywarp and Thundercracker equally, after himself of course, but he would risk his spark for both of them. It was becomming more apparent that his presence with their purple trinemate did not hold the same value as their eldest, but none the less, he was here.
"He would prefer no company to me," he noted as he tilted his helm slightly. Starscream did not want to go back to Skywarp if he was still acting out; this wasn't the first time it had happened. Typically it righted itself but Gul wasn't stupid and knew the trine was fractured after everything that had happened. Of course Starscream knew too but he was more reluctant to say it aloud.
"Fine . . . fine! If you will find something to do then I'll talk to him," he grumbled. The micron gave a nod and Starscream frowned. Gul was right. This wasn't the Seeker's fault, no, it was Megatron's, everything was his fault and now that the fool was gone he could fix this.
He nodded and left his quarters, opening his end of the bond slightly as he went looking for Skywarp.
Initially there was no response, then, before he could stop himself, he spoke up, “why would you think anything happened?”
What would have happened? The Autobots were few in numbers and had posed no threat and Megatron was not in command. What was there to be worried about? Ah. There it was. Skywarp wanted to talk.
“No doubt about my absence,” he muttered over the comm link more to himself than his trinemate, “where’s Thundercracker?" Surely the eldest Seeker kept Skywarp company this whole time and kept him in line.
»You never know… there’s the tears. I thought you might’ve fallen though..« He states.
Tapping his claws together, »Uh… I really don’t even know. He’s been quiet and hasn’t been answering. He’s probably in his lab but even when I drop by… he’s not there.« His wings droop a bit. To him, it felt like he was the failure of the trine and tearing the two apart. But that wasn’t the case…right? Truth be told, Skywarp has been lonely like always now.
In a way, he wanted to do a lot of things but just being in the presence of one of his trine mates would suffice some right now. Just to be close and know that they still wanted the giddy prankster.
If was through a tear then Skywarp's comm would not reach him. That didn't mater though so he didn't tell the other that, instead he flew higher up in the sky as he approached the ship.
News that Thundercracker had not been spending the majority of his time with their youngest trinemate was a bit of a surprise. Then again, he should not be so ignorant to think that Thundercracker would not stay with Skywarp if he had something more important that needed his attentions. Though the purple Seeker was typically good at squeezing his way into work spaces.
"Never mind him," he said tightly, clearly not meaning that Thundercracker's absence would go ignored, "I am approaching the landing deck".
The message was delayed getting to him, he knew that, but he still responded. Pinging his trinemate back with a simple: ‘what is it’.
He did not wait for a response, instead he checked his energy levels and weapons, not that he thought he would need them but it was best to check.
Skywarp was probably wondering where he was and Starscream frowned. Of course he wasn’t going to tell the other where he was or why he had been gone for so long, but now he was going back.
distortionwarper said: why not? bored as the pit over here.
warpingprankster said: eh? sure thing i’d love to.
'Awwww pit yeah.
'Where ya at, err...' Skywarp was about to say me who shot TC in the face but just caught himself. 'Post war me?'
That wont do, he thought to himself, he needed a more obnoxious nickname but he didn't know all that much about this alternate version of himself, and they didn't look as dramatically different than some of the others he'd encountered.
'I can come pick ya up and take you to wherever Chickenlegs is.'
Getting over their trine bond. : Starscream I need you immediate assistance. I'm getting attacked by a mech named Jetfire, he's not from here. I need your help. He's going to dismantle me!: Even though, he knows he's going to get the message too late.. whats the use anyways.
Starscream had been sifting through data signals in the bridge, a treat typically reserved for Soundwave (with the mech gone someone had to get it done), when he idly scratched at his chestplate. He remained silent, working alongside one Vehicon before he literally jumped at the sudden voice over his trine bond.
It caught him completely off guard and even the Decepticon trooper at his side was staring—“get back to work,” he grunted before listening close to his trinemate.
Attacked … by Jetfire?
As much as Starscream wished it was a prank he knew it was not. Skywarp knew (more or less) what happened between him and Jetfire; knew that that particular name was not one that he took lightly.
The Seeker took off without a word to the trooper as to where he was going. He needed to make sure Skywarp was fine and finding his location was simple. Following their bond more than his trinemate’s energy signature, the former Second in Command flew down the corridors and anyone that saw him coming ducked (or fell) out of the way.
It was late in the day and Starscream was walking side by side with his trinemate. Skywarp. The younger Seeker needed something productive to do and he knew that he hadn't seen the purple flier for sometime so he had him come along while he checked the ship's repairs. There was no sense in fixing the ship, finally getting into the air, only for the Nemesis to fall apart again.
He certainly wasn't going to allow that to happen while he was on board.
"We've checked the lower levels, so now the upper deck, the bridge and the flight deck," he listed absently as they started down a long hall. Three troops trailed behind them not under orders but they were helpful in checking repairs.
