Was it weird to talk to her? Or was it weirder to ignore her? Ever present coffee cup in hand as he walked through Central Park, he spotted Lisbeth and just...Warren had kept his distance on purpose, wanted her to know he wasn’t actively seeking her out. He’d looked into the circus more after he’d left that day, gone home and googled and dug around to see if he could find anything to get law enforcement involved before realizing it wasn’t what she wanted. He wanted to be respectful but it was hard to ignore the call to do something when something was wrong. It was hard not to keep tabs on her every once and a while too, but he could try to distract himself with other things, projects for work. The circus article still sat on a word document on his computer at home, he hadn’t found a good time to release it despite the fact it’d happened months ago. Attention, he didn’t want to draw too much attention to anything regarding her, wanted to give her some kind of peace. Besides, he kind of trusted her to seek him out if anything serious happened. She was a mom, right? Surely if her kid was in danger she’d be quick to remedy a bad situation.
Speaking of, said kiddo didn’t seem to be with her which was kind of a bummer for him on such a nice day, but he figured Lisbeth deserved her alone time. Alone time he was about to encroach upon because he was approaching after taking a sip of his coffee (the real liquid courage), stopping short of her to leave some distance between them, smiling softly. It’s not like he wasn’t happy to see her, even if he did worry about her. “Hey, how’s it goin’?” @cagedbirdlisbeth
