Let me start with the very first interaction between Luna and Ron. In chapter 10, Ron and Hermione enter the train compartment after their prefect meeting and start talking to Harry about who the new prefects are and then Luna suddenly says to Ron:

"You went to the Yule ball with Padma Patil" and she says this while "gazing unblinkingly at Ron"

oh, but she goes on. she tells Ron about how Padma didn't like going with him because he didn't dance with her. Oh, but here's the kicker "I don't think I'd have minded, I don't like dancing very much."

So first fucking page of Ron and Luna interacting and Luna's already told him that she would've been a better fit for him at the Yule Ball than the girl he took as his date.

And then, literally a page later, Ron tells a joke and Luna laughs at it so hard that she cries. "Everyone laughed, but nobody laughed harder than Luna Lovegood. She let out a scream of mirth [...] Luna laughed so hard her magazine slipped out of her grasp, slid down her legs and onto the floor."

And a page later, she is still fucking gazing at Ron.

When they're getting off the train she offers to carry Pigwidgeon while Ron and Hermione go off to do prefect duties. 

In the next chapter she offends Ron by saying that Hagrid isn't a good teacher and Ron gets mad at her and "[she] did not seem perturbed by Ron's rudeness; on the contrary, she simply watched him for a while as though he were a mildly interesting television program."

Then, in chapter 19, which is when the first quidditch match is, Luna comes over to Harry, Ron, and Hermione in the great hall to tell them she's supporting Gryffindor, while also wearing a giant magical hat she made to resemble a lion that actually fucking roars, not like that cheap felt shit she wore in the movie. The entire interaction she doesn't address anyone by name, until as she leaves she says "Anyway... good luck, Ronald!" she doesn't say good luck to Harry, who is also on the team and right fucking there, and she calls him Ronald, oh my fucking god.

and then in chapter 25, while Luna is at the three broomsticks with Hermione, Rita Skeeter, and Harry, and the three of them are talking about the article Rita is going to write Luna "on the other hand, sand 'Weasley is our King' dreamily under her breath and stirred her drink with a cocktail onion on a stick."

I don't know about anything in the 6th or 7th book however because I do not re-read them as often as i do the 5th book. But all the stuff i read here seems kinda conducive to Luna having a crush on Ron, at least in my opinion. But it also brings up so many questions for me, the first of which is "why?" why have a crush on Ron on all people, especially since she didn't really know Ron and from what i can tell, had a crush on him before she even met him. Is it because she knows Ginny so well? Why not just have a crush on Ginny, she is funnier, prettier and kinder than Ron and I personally think Luna is pan. And what was J.K. thinking when she wrote this? Why didn't she make it so Luna and Ron were dating in the 6th book instead of Lavender and Ron, it would've been so much more interesting.

Yeah - Nicole. The second-shot minichallenge was calavera themed, unfortunately. If I recall correctly, one of them was even ~mariachi~ themed. Smh.

I'm not currently sure what I'll do about foundation challenges, since Syfy doesn't have galleries of those like I use for the spotlight ones. I may do a rewatch and screencap, if I can work it out well. But yeah, that one definitely falls into the cultural appropriation category.

For some reason I just remembered that the reason I found your blog was because of that whole debacle with sifu-kisu from ATLA where he made that sexist joke and you had this really long discussion with him about why the joke was offensive & I just had to say that *wow* finding your blog is the best thing that ever could have come out of me following him.
