Some people say that you should never meet your heroes. I’ve heard that before but that has not been the case for me. Today I met one of my all-time idols #shawnmicheals @wwe superstar. I have always admired his work and the persona that he carries on television. We sat and talked for about an hour Discussing Wrestling, mixed martial arts, Business and family. What an incredible career he had and now he is giving back as a coach teaching young talents how to be a star. I am so honored to serve my country today by speaking @fortknoxky to the 3rd Recruiting Battalion about leadership. This group of men and women directly impacts our entire country as they oversee and recruit The next generation of Warriors. Leadership is always the same but with such a rich cultural history of honor and pride military recruiters across the country are facing new challenges with this youngest generation. The challenge is - How can we improve our leadership/messaging to match the needs of these modern Warriors? Like any business or martial art we must grow and evolve to stay the best. When I moved to the beach, I decided to get rid of everything. I love the feeling of reusing stuff, so I found this old surfboard on craigslist, the cinderblocks - found on the side of the road, the 2 - 4x4’s are now shelves with stickers from fun travels. Low cost, earth friendly recycling project, that is decorative & a work station.
