since the order that his mother had given pearl to remain silent was now broken, steven knew that everything she told him could be honest and true, and though he had a lot of information on who she actually was and who she later became.. he still had questions. they were less burning and intense than his first ones.. now they were simply.. curious. 

“you don’t have to! really, if you’d rather not, that’s super fine!”

But did she really want to do that? Or did she just want to vent her anger about their Diamond on the last person that really knew her? Probably the latter. It didn’t, however, make it any less tempting. 

Spinel put on a friendly smile, though the wild look in her eyes gave away what she’d really like to do.
