i wanted to go full ham on the dress and googled and referenced all the princess portrait paintings i could find.

but ey, all that princess and knight imagery present in the show! and all the utena references! i had a lot of thoughts about steven putting himself into a tower to save everyone else from getting hurt by his monstrous side and turns out, connie is determined to protect or save him but it’s not really healthy for either of them. or something. using tropes to point out unhealthy narratives, yay?
