I have to admit, I never got the hang of Cyberlit. When AMM introduced customizable spotlights and area lights, I was excited to try out the alternative. When I mentioned writing a tutorial on the Lizzie's server, several people expressed interest so I decided to share it with the larger community.
Currently this guide only covers spotlights but I will be adding area lights as well, as I find them just as useful—more so even, since I relied on them for months before figuring out how to effectively use spotlights. 😂

Something I've learned from getting a fancy-ass gaming PC: Reshade is a cheat code for video game photography. I rarely photoshop my images after I take them (except for the occasional clipping that I bother to fix, thanks CDPR).
You too can make these cool shots! Here's how...
First, set up your shot and lock the camera if you're using Otis. Open Reshade and select "MagicBorder." These are the default settings.
You'll need to make the picture frame color transparent, so either change A:255 to A:0, or click the color box and change the transparency there. [Side note: you can use this to add tones to the image as well!] Once you've set the frame color to transparent, you should see your shot through it.
Go back to the Reshade effects panel. We'll be focusing on the depth of the window. The picture frame coords are pretty self-explanatory, as are the rest.
The depth can take a number from 0-1000, where 0 is the camera and 1000 is the horizon. You'll have to play around with the numbers and corners depending on where in the frame you're trying to uncover. I usually start around 200-300 to see what happens and go from there.
This is what happens when I change the left top corner to 300:
Tweaking the bottom left corner makes the rest of Mitch's arm pop out.
Adjusting the other corners results in this, which I love because we get to see Driss's hands.
And... there you go! You can photoshop the image and clean up the edges if you like, and do some cool layering too, if you're so inclined! I'm in a hurry though, so up it goes as is.
