caps vs islanders (3/16/18)
bonus:
Ok since my last post I’ve learned how to count so actually this is page 6 of 10 pages complete. (2 of the original 12 pages were just white stitching which I don’t need to do) So we are almost there. Obviously I have to finish spelling champions and the remainder of the ribbon and then just the Cup itself. It looks really good. I can’t wait to finish this and start working on the 4 player jerseys of my favorites (sorry doing 20 or so player jerseys is a little tedious lol). Thanks for following along. If the Caps win any further Cups in my lifetime they will be smaller in size. I mean you gotta go big or go home for their first Cup right?!
Page 4 of 12 knocked right out of the park!! Yay finally putting a good dent in this stitch. Now I can start the other side! Let’s Go Caps!!! ❤️💙
5 of 12 pages finally done!! Look at this beautiful but tediously long cross stitch. It looks so cool from afar with the detail and everything. Slow and steady wins the race.
So since the Washington Capitals won the Stanley Cup this year (whoop!) I decided I needed to make an epic Washington Capitals Stanley Cup Championship cross stitch because I’m ridiculous. So here is the progress so far: Phew. Managed do get page 1 of 12 done today despite having to take out quite a bit of the white stitching after I didn’t like how it looked yellow-ish after I ran it through some wax. Anywho first page is in the books. 2nd page/Photo in the works also shows that I barely squeaked by with enough room on the side for this stitch. Somehow have 2-3 “squares” of wiggle room. Trucking along slowly. Will be taking a break while I go play hockey in Vermont this coming weekend.
