 SINCE SUCCEEDING IN HER KNIGHT TRIALS, Darsha seemed to walk through the Temple with a sort of eerie giddiness. What could be better? She was safe, here, with her Master -- she was good friends with the oddest pair, Lorn and I-Five -- and goodness gracious, she was finally a knight, a MILESTONE in her training as a Jedi! Things couldn’t be more exciting! 

Darsha was even more thrilled when she was invited to teach a class of YOUNGLINGS. It was with a spring in her step that she arrived to the room EARLY in order to go over the lesson she’d prepared -- only to stumble on one of the younglings that, too, had come EARLY: the tiniest Togruta Darsha had ever seen. Unconsciously, she was smiling already.

 “Good afternoon, little one.” Darsha chirped, taking a knee in front of the youngling. “How are you?”

    The dying creature lay in a heap, limbs folded and cape stirring subtly in a soft breeze. A weary gaze studied millions of stars as they twinkled against a sea of INFINITY-- O, the suffering they’d seen from their celestial perches. 

        “At times, it seems as though I have lived a THOUSAND lives--”

    Every BREATH drawn was accompanied by a wheeze. The heavens looked like a painting to him, now ( a painting where everything was blending ). That great head shifted to one side, and he watched her with a cold expression.

        “Long ago, I discovered what it was like to lose something forever.”

    A horrid cough shook his FADING body, and all the colors of the world started to become one. When the beast spoke again, his voice was quiet.

        “Have you any idea how that FEELS?”
