     he barely spared her a glance as he walked into their apartment, heading straight for the walk-in closet that was mostly hers but still held some of his clothes, too. a small carry-on suitcase was opened and adamo hardly paid attention to what he threw in  ––  wanted to take a shower after being in his car for over fifteen hours, but he couldn’t shake the dark cloud that hung over him.  “if you’re here to talk, don’t.”  words came after hearing the sound of footsteps, refusing to turn towards her.
