i feel like calling lelouch evil also completely reduces how batshit fucking crazy he is like lelouch is INSANE insane i don’t mean like clinically i just mean i cannot fucking imagine making the choices he does.

i mean this kid has walked up to his ankles in rotting dead bodies with his blind sister on his back and had to tell her the smell was just that they were walking by a garbage dump i can’t imagine the person you would be after living through that. at age 10 no less.

but the choices lelouch makes aren’t just bad they’re insane. you lose control of your powers and you accidentally cause genocide of the people you are at least with some degree of honesty trying to save and the decision you make is to roll with it? to pretend you did that on purpose to your best friend? who happens to be one of the people you are trying to save? because you want him to hate you because you’re in love with him? because that’s easier than admitting you lost control and made a mistake?
