Scar was trapped in Secret Life for years and years on end. After he won the game he no longer got tasks, but the shadow people would still whisper. He would chase every last one of them in hopes that it was Grian, the game master, telling him he could move on.(it always sounded like him.) Eventually he noticed a pattern in the whispers. They would only sound a little bit before he was in danger. A creeper blew up his sunflowers? Whispers. He went strip mining straight into lava? Whispers. And so on and so forth. He came to associate the whispers with danger.
In wild life the whispers were there. Only for Scar and constant. Everything was dangerous and everything was trying to kill him. The only time they ever stop was near Grian. Which was odd, but a relief from the noise non the less. That’s why they allied.
Now, in past life the moment Scar heard the whispers then, with the secret society, he hid in the mines. Grian was trying to tell him something. Something to be wary of. That’s why he didn’t get octokilled.
