8. How has roleplaying, specifically, impacted your life?

[[Well it’s definitely made me more open,and I’ve made more friends. And it’s helped me to improve my writing and makeit more fun. I mean, I was introduced to roleplaying by my best friend, but Imade other friends through threading with them and coming up with plots andsuch. I end up writing more, especially with some of the threads I do, and that’shelping me with putting in detail and adding more information when I write. Imean, I know for a fact that my writing has improved my leaps and bounds purelybecause of the different types of threads I do.

I think I’ve also become a little more openand imaginative because of it, and I have somewhere to channel it all so that Idon’t end up writing everywhere. I mean, I used to write in so many notebooksall the time, and now I can just write on my computer or on my phone if an ideacomes up for a reply. And it became relaxing and fun doing some of the littlebanter threads on my phone during my frees at school. (Shhhhhhhhh!)

On the other hand… it’s made me more attached to myphone and computer. I mean, I spend a lot of time on my phone or computereither reading replies or actually doing them, or even lurking and readingother threads that I’m interested in. So much so that it’s actually roleplaying that’s the reason why my parents are telling me to cut out the Tumblr when Ihead off to university so that I can concentrate. Which is going to be hard forme, because there are people on here that I love talking to. And at one point,roleplaying became pretty stressful for me – I wasn’t enjoying it at all, and Istarted feeling pretty down whenever I saw my replies. That was on a differentaccount, though, and I’ve since stopped roleplaying on there, but it was reallyhard for me at one point.]]

9. How has writing improved your life and do you see yourself sticking with it?

[[I think writing has made me a happierperson. I mean, I guess without writing I would just read all of thetime, and I’d get through more books than I have now, but my parents used toreally support me whilst writing, and that made me feel really proud of myself.For this project at school, I decided to write a short book, and I got one ofmy English teachers to proof read it for me, and she really enjoyed it too. Ithink writing even got me to enjoy studying English, which is actually thesubject I hated the most at school. It’s made me a more rounded person, and Ihave a lot more to write on my CV now because of my writing in general. I’vealso met more people because of my writing, and I don’t just mean roleplaying –I’m a fanfiction writer, and so I’ve met a fair few people through writing formy fandoms and people just messaging me about my fics. I’ve become more social,in a way. It’s also great for cheap, heartfelt birthday presents.

As for whether I’ll continue it in thefuture, I hope so. Even if I don’t continue to roleplay far into the future, orend up having to slow down a lot on it, I’d like to at least continue with myfanfiction writing. I really enjoy it, and it’s the one I started with. Ithelps me to relax, and I like my plotlines. Plus, I have a whole load ofplotlines that I have to finish, and I’m not just going to leave them halfdone. I’ve done that enough to some of my plots already.]]

Super detailed questions about your OCs

37. Do they like to read? Are they a fast or slow reader? Do they like poetry? Fictional or non fiction?

[[Allie is a total book nerd (when she has the time toactually read), and growing up her dad actually had to build her more shelves toadd on any books that she got. Most of the books she read were either boughtfor her as gifts, or were old books that her dad read back when he was inuniversity. Really, if she had the chance she would spend way more time readingthan she does now, because she has a lot of studying to do. And out of all thekids of books she can read, she’s a total lover of fiction – in particular,fantasy and/or action. She’s read some crime novels too, but she hasn’t reallyhad the chance to get into them.

Her speed of reading varies – she is a fast reader, yes, butshe often finds that when she gets distracted she has to go back and readthrough more slowly so that she doesn’t skip out any words. But she can gothrough books pretty quickly if she is really into them, usually going througha book with about 300 pages in a week if she has the time to, and 2 or more ifshe doesn’t or gets bored partway through.

Despite the fact that she really enjoys reading, Allie isn’tactually a huge fan of poetry. Which is funny, because her siblings and her dadall love poetry, but she has a large preference for prose. She says it’sbecause poetry doesn’t draw her in as much as novels do, since there isn’t asmuch in the poetry for her to get into, but part of her feels as if school hasruined poetry for her. Then again, studying English Literature at school has (apparently)ruined a couple of books and some Shakespeare plays for her too. I think it’sher way of actually being fussy about what she reads.]]

38. What do they admire in others? What talents do they wish they had?

[[What Allie admires in others varies depending on thepeople she meets and the situations she’s faced with. More often than not, it’sanother person’s confidence that she admires, since she isn’t really a confidentperson by nature. Not when she’s meeting new people, and certainly not when she’sin a huge crowd. She’s the type of person to stick to the corners and talk towhoever drifts into her space in hopes of making a friend. It’s why most of herfriends are people who are much louder and more confident – because she cankind of absorb some of that confidence to make herself seem bolder than sheactually is.

Allie is pretty academically and athletically gifted, sothere isn’t much that she wishes she had. If anything she would love to bemusically gifted – not as much as her sister, or Sochi. Just enough to be ableto play the piano or any tunes that she hears. And maybe sing a little better,because in her opinion she can’t really sing.]]

49. What is their most valued object? Are they sentimental? Is there something they have to take everywhere with them? 

[[If you asked Allie what her most valued item was, shewouldn’t even hesitate before saying, “my laptop”. Which is partially true –she very much loves her laptop, because it holds a lot of stuff on there, andit’s what she uses to do a lot of her work and communicate with others withoutactually having to leave her home. But really, she actually very much valuesthe small things that other people have given her. Not jewellery or anything,but silly things like notes passed in class, or tickets from films she went tosee with friends. Most of all, she really values photos.

When it comes to photos, she’s actually very sentimental. Back in secondary school, Jodie and Jake used touse their phones and disposable cameras to take pictures of the group duringthe day (usually at lunchtimes, breaktimes, before school and after school,which wasn’t really allowed on school property but they did it anyway), andAllie has copies of the photos stashed in a box somewhere. Jodie has them in analbum, and Jake has them pinned up on a board in his room – he took the boarddown from his bedroom at home and took it to university with him, and has evenbrought it over to the States. Allie has the box stashed somewhere with herbelongings, and she doesn’t look in it often because she’s the type of personwho likes to look at the photos when the others are around.

Of all of the photos, she has one of herself, Jake, Jodie,Mandy, Obed and Alex on her phone from when they all met up the summer beforeshe left for Japan, and because it’s on her phone she pretty much takes iteverywhere with her.]]

emerald: how my muse tells someone they love them without words

[[Affection. Allie is actually a very affectionate person, and just doesn't show it because she's usually very reserved and prefers not to show people. But she very much enjoys hugging people, snuggling, and even the occasional kiss if it's someone that she would kiss. Just any form of contact, really.

If course, if you're a sibling or someone who's just as close, like a best friend (or partner), then you are also likely to be subject to teasing, and possibly teasing punches and tickles and such, which is her childish way of saying that she loves you. It'll get on your nerves, but at least it's a way that she shows she cares and actually pays attention to you -- granted, it's not to the things that are liked, but it's attention.

If you also find yourself on the receiving end of multiple baked goods, then she cares.]]

kyanite: an anger headcanon

[[Well, it's already been mentioned that Allie tends to throw things and shout a lot when she's angry, and I've probably mentioned that she forgives fairly quickly, but I don't think that I've mentioned how she reacts to people being angry with her.

She doesn't really react well at all, particularly to being shouted at, and her first instinct is to cry if there's yelling of any sort directed at her. Not necessarily weep, but there will be tears, and she generally tries to take a step back so that she can get away from it. After that, depending on who it is, she'll either yell back to defend herself until her throat is hoarse or get out of the room and shut herself away until she feels okay enough to go to someone else for comfort. As a child and a teen, the comfort was usually her mother or older sister, and occasionally her dad. It generally depends on who's the closest person she can seek comfort from.]]

I made Blade and Sheath, and my poor baby Blade was abducted by aliens and ended up having a green alien baby which the father alien ended up taking back. Blade can't even get a break in freaking Sims!))

[ 狼 ] — A victim of unfortunate events. Slender arms curled around the woman's form in a feeble attempt to console herself, watery eyes fixed on the carpet as she elaborated upon the preceding events that had led her to them. She explained that the man in question had been black mailing her for some time, that he claimed to have some 'Footage' of her that he was going to expose, the woman's husband was a very wealthy businessman and the things he claimed to have on tape could tarnish his reputation. She continued rubbing up and down her arms, gnawing at her lip nervously.

"So, what's the plan?" The detective turned his head to the officers who'd been speaking to her, each who seemed equally bewildered by the situation; they weren't used to things of this nature.

"We're uh.. Planning to have someone guard her until we can nab the guy." The younger officer admitted. He was a young lad, probably only recently twenty with flaxen locks that hung around his face in serrated bangs, his eyes were a prominent stormy blue, he emitted an anxious aura almost as much as that of the woman in question.

"I see." Wolf's arms slithered across his chest, assessing the woman with an impassive stare. There was something they were missing here, a piece of her story that didn't quite fit with the others -- He knew she was hiding something but he lacked evidence, or an idea of exactly what that piece was.

"I want to speak to your superiors." Abruptly he demanded such, resting a hand on the younger's shoulder. He planned on making himself her body-guard, it would be the easiest way to unearth what was going on behind the scenes and find out the truth behind this woman's tale.

With that weighing down on his shoulders Wolf almost forgot that he was supposed to be meeting up with a new 'Member' of their faction that afternoon-- Sometimes it really was hard keeping track of going ons when cases like this kept popping up.

40: What is the craziest thing your OC has done?

“It depends on who you ask, I guess! Running away from home, fighting bad guys every day… becoming best friends with someone who does porn for a living.” One night early on in living on his own, he snuck into a theme park at night and tried to turn everything on and ride the rides. He turned the spinning teacups up too high and broke his arm and a rib when it flung him out.

“It’s not that I like it or not, I just don’t get much time to be out in it. But I don’t mind drawing nature.” Or walking in it, really, when he found the time. One of his favorite places to go in his spare time in the middle of the night was the park, though he wasn’t sure how much that counted toward nature.

First, I’ll do Todd Donnovan, le conductor extraordinaire:

who steals french fries off the other’s plate: Provided the fries were kosher and not cooked in oil made from a non-kosher animal, Todd would.  He’s the middle of 5 kids, the only boy, and dinner was a free-for-all unless it was the sabbath meal or a holy day’s meal.  So if you weren’t fast enough, you didn’t get enough.  He’d steal Al’s food in a heartbeat.

who jokingly moves in for the kiss when someone asks if they’re a couple: Al.  Because if Todd did, he’d have to deal with BOTH Sochi AND Susie, and he’s not strong enough for that.

who has to bust or bail the other out of jail: Todd.  The only reason this mousy man could even be IN jail would be because of someone else.  And he has an odd talent for picking locks because he did it to sneak into his sister’s rooms to read their diaries, etc.

who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues: Gonna say both, but Todd is older, wiser, and more experienced, so I see Todd doing this more often.

who shamelessly cheats at games by reaching over to cover the other’s eyes: I feel like Al is too honorable to do this so probably Todd.

who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk: Probably Al because he’s a flute-player and flute-players have god-complexes, but then Todd would leap up their first because he’s the conductor so Al is really just his flute-puppet.

who starts and who wins the pillow fights: Uh…neither.

who says “your pants would look better on their floor” to the other’s potential crush: Al.  Todd could NEVER say this to Sochi.  He’s known Sochi since Sochi was 12, so Sochi is still a pure and shy little skinny boy taking voice lessons.  Al, however, would definitely say this to Susie, and Susie would play into it, and Todd would just shake his head and leave.

Next would be Sheath (a.k.a. Mason for the timeline-based RP thing), and I’m sticking him under a read-more because of length.

who steals french fries off the other’s plate: Both.  Both would steal food from one another.  One would start it and the other one would do it back.  They’d end up eating one another’s plates because it would continue.

who jokingly moves in for the kiss when someone asks if they’re a couple: Al.  And Sheath would threaten to kill him.

who has to bust or bail the other out of jail: Sheath.  He’s the one who does the busting.

who gives the other advice/comfort about dating issues:  Oddly…Sheath.  Not that he’s ever been on a date.  Or will ever be.  But that’s probably why.  He can live vicariously through Al’s relationship.

who shamelessly cheats at games by reaching over to cover the other’s eyes: Blade.  And Sheath would get huffy about the fact that he’s doing it (because he might be a thief, hacker, and murderer but he’s not a cheat and has an honor code to prove it), and sent Blade to the corner.  Al would then promptly pick up where Blade left off to not only make Blade laugh but also to mess with Sheath.

who immediately calls dibs on the top bunk: Al.  I don’t think Sheath would care much, and he’d rather be on the bottom bunk anyways because it’s easier to react to things.  Also, I feel like Al would really enjoy torturing Sheath this way.  And throw stuff down at him or whatever.  And Sheath would kick up at the bed.

who starts and who wins the pillow fights: Al would start them because they’re like sparring sessions, which means you KNOW that Sheath would win because that pillow would become a weapon of mass destruction.

who says “your pants would look better on their floor” to the other’s potential crush: I fear that Al will never have the chance to say this to someone on Sheath’s behalf, but Al would do it.))
