My last time to run the water cannons at Pioneer Reservoir. #taxdollarsatwork #watercannons
30 DoCD Day 4 & 5
4.) How vain is your character? Do they find themselves attractive?
While Demyx knows he’s not ugly by average standards, he’s not vain about it. Though he does spend a lot of time fussing over his hair, and he does enjoy wearing clothes that he feels make him look good. He wants to present himself in a way that leaves a good as well as lasting impression. He does enjoy getting compliments on his appearance, but they only do so much to inflate his ego.
5.) What’s your character’s ranking on the Kinsey Scale?
Demyx ranks as a 4. Predominantly homosexual, but more than incidentally heterosexual. The reason for this being is that he's not so much attracted to a person's sex/gender as he is their personality and mind. In order for him to begin to garner interest, he needs to be familiar with the person, and to be intimate, he would need to trust them to some extent. His track record leans more towards men, but that's because he finds most women he meets to be either too intimidating or feel more like a sister/mother than a love interest.
30 DoCD Day 3
3.) Name one scar your character has, and tell us where it came from. If they don’t have any, is there a reason
He has a small scar on his stomach from getting his appendix removed. Demyx rarely ever willingly puts himself in dangerous situations, and whenever he does land himself in one, he’d always managed to escape it. He became so used to running/escaping/avoiding that it’s become almost second nature to him.
30 DoCD Day 2
2.) What are your characters most prominent physical features?
His eyes and his hair. Everyone knows Demyx for his mullethawk, and it truly does make him stand out a little more from the other members despite the average color. I honestly believe he wanted to stand out and set himself apart from other people, so he decided to style it that way knowing full well it was a very uncommon style. Not exactly good for being discreet, but he wears his hood up during missions, so it’s not too big a deal on that front.
In my personal headcannon, Demyx grew up in Japan (Shibuya from TWEWY), where blue eyes and blonde hair were considered and extreme oddity. People always mistook him for being a foreigner, and he was often alienated, picked on, or treated like a zoo animal for it.
30 DoCD Day 1
1.) Describe your character’s relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad? Were they spoiled rotten, ignored? Do they still get along now, or no?
Emyd’s relationship with his father was uneasy at best. His father expected him to exceed at everything, school especially. Unfortunately, because of his dyslexia, Emyd fell short in several areas, reading and writing especially. It didn’t matter he was decent at math and science, or that he was skilled with computers, or that he had an ear for languages (though he still had issues writing reading and writing those too). The fact that he fell short in any area made him a disgrace. Even though he tried his hardest to pull himself ahead, his father and teachers both called him lazy and unwilling to put forth the effort. Eventually, he gave up trying to please either parties and instead began to rebel, causing even more tension between him and his father. He even began to dislike his father when he out right stated that Emyd's music playing was 'a complete waste of time'.
His mother, on the other hand, with on opposite end of the scale. She loved Emyd, almost to the point of smothering him. He learned pretty early on that he could probably murder someone and she would pet his head and smile and tell him ‘it’s okay’. While Emyd loved his mother, he also sometimes found her affection to be forced, like she was compensating for the fact that his father barely loved him, if at all. In his later years, Emyd fought with his dad and even got kicked out of the house a few times, but his mother always convinced his father to let him back in. It was only thanks to his mother Emyd didn’t turn out any worse, because he hated being the reason that she cried.
Demyx has no idea what happened to his parents or if they’re still alive.
When the nice lady asked why police don't use "water cannons" on Ferguson protesters. Dang, that is some fierce side-eye.
