Guardian Heritage Day
"Guardian day" is a celebration traditionally carried out in water flight which commemorates the creation of the first guardians and the ceremony by which these first dragons took their charges. Festivities have no set date outside of "some time after wave crest ish" and are celebrated as early as the flight festival's last day or as late as the first day of greenskeepers. Modern festivities are a celebration of Guardian heritage and water flight culture, often associated with heavy drinking (and drunken scrying) that has become more and more popular outside of the central sea. Along with this comes a fair amount of discourse about how non water flighters and non guardians can celebrate Heritage Day without appropriating water culture and what have you. Either way, hug a guardian today. Ask them about their charge. Help them stand watch. Bring them gifts. Appreciate them. (and try to keep them from drinking too much)
