Here’s something I don’t often do: use a fountain pen instead of a dip pen! This one is a bit special though - it’s about three times as old as I am 😂😅 Like me, it’s nothing glamorous to look at - but it’s how it works that counts, right? The nib is soft as butter and the barrel might be worn and faded, but it’s been beautifully restored and it works perfectly. ❤️❤️ . (For the nerds: it’s a 1920s Waterman 52, a lever filler, black chased hard rubber, very tired ☺️ I know some of you will ask! It’s definitely the most flexible fountain pen I’ve ever used, but it still doesn’t match a dip pen - my heart will always be with dip pens 😅. But nice for a change though!) . D is a tricky letter because we all, all of us, always, start off by making the bowl too wide.
