HOLY SHIT. WE WERE SO SURE ALREADY BUT YES!!! YES YES YES!!!!!!!!!!! I'VE NEVER GOTTEN TO READ A STORY I ALREADY REALLY REALLY LIKED AND THEN FOUND OUT IT'S CENTERED AROUND A QPR! HEYYYYY YEAH!!! I GOT MY BIRTHDAY PRESENT A FEW DAYS EARLY!!!!!
Seriously, I'm so happy. Yoshiki and "Hikaru's" feelings for each other defying labels like romantic or platonic is SO FITTING because the whole manga they've been confined by boxes like "human" and "monster." But, when they're with each other, they don't need those labels. They can just be themselves!
AND AAAAGRRRGHHHHH!!! Yoshiki doesn't just accept "Hikaru's" different from the human Hikaru, the feelings he has and the relationship are completely different, but they're special! In this chapter's flashback, we saw that human Hikaru wasn't someone Yoshiki could forget about being normal around. BUT "HIKARU" IS DIFFERENT. He's not better, or worse, he's just different and Yoshiki acknowledges that and how freeing it is to be with "Hikaru" as just "Hikaru," not as a replacement.
In conclusion: FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!
