2. what about arya resonates with you/inspires you the most?
you’re gonna get me in my feelings!! the thing that inspires me the most about her is definitely her loyalty to her family. but i think what resonates with me the most is the way she fights to survive. and that’s not to say that other characters (especially other female characters) don’t fight to survive - really, they all do. but just like the specific insecurities that arya fights to overcome, the way she’s very driven by emotion, and the way she learns how to be strong & unflinching while still being kind & generous. i feel all of that shit deep in my bones.

arya > sansa > bran & rickon > cat > ned > jon > robb
arya is obvious. sansa really is right up there in terms of how deeply protective i am of her, but i relate to her far less. bran & rickon both remind me of my own brother in so many ways, and they’re both such little forces, and is this where i announce my intention to someday write a fic where arya & her little brothers are the only alive starks? i guess so! i love a lot of things about cat, and i feel every aspect of arya’s complicated relationship with her, so my feelings on her are mixed. pour one out for ned always, but the fire just doesn’t burn as bright as it does for the others. i could really take or leave jon yikes sorry, and robb is a … huge asshole canonically lol! i would never say i hate any of the starks, but his character is just the one i objectively dislike the most. i am all about a redeemed robb in fic, though.

definitely, literally, am going to get a teeny cluster of sword lilies on the inside of my forearm once this pandemic is behind us. does that count as both a sword and flowers? also, potentially will include ‘fear cuts deeper than swords,’ but i might just get that somewhere else. ribs?? idk!!
