Here’s the one picture I got of the little watersnake I saw on December 30th, 2021. This log is not big at all, the snake was just a little baby. I tried to get better pictures, but it hid before I could get around to the other side.

The creek is at the bottom of a hill, and I was standing up at the top, my camera is just really good at zooming in. 

Don’t approach wild snakes even if you know they aren’t venomous, unless you have to for a specific purpose. You might know the snake can’t hurt you, but the snake doesn’t know that you aren’t going to hurt it. There is no need to stress the animal out for no reason except your own curiosity.

Found in the creek on Largo Drive, Savannah Georgia, on my way to Tribble Park.

These snakes are not venemous, so you don’t need to be any more afraid of them than a garter snake, though they can get pretty big. I haven’t seen a live adult yet, but I hope I get to at some point. They’re pretty.
