I am really excited about this non-human person thing. I know it's a non official term and that it'll pass a long time before people actually recognize it, but I think this is so world-changing. It implies that we have begun to recognize animals as persons, which means a being with recognized rights and intelligence. And it also implies that 'human' and 'person' are not synonyms, and therefore, recognizes the existence of non-person humans. I think this in some time (because I really doubt people will take this seriously for a while) will create a really interesting controversy on what and who deserves the rights that nowadays are given away to an entire species without ascertain their meritoriousness.
