Tales of Arcadia Fashion Week, Day 1: Trolls
Look 1A, inspired by Draal: Turquoise blue dress. V neck with narrow keyhole. ‘Distressed’ shoulder straps, beige. Circle skirt, knee length. Peplum at waist, pleated with black leather trim.
Look 1B, inspired by Draal: Dress from Look 1A, under cropped black leather jacket. Copper-coloured square ‘spike’ studs cover jacket back in grid, embellish seam along top of right arm. Left arm, two buckled straps around wrist. Two pockets, one on each side of chest, with flap closure, copper buttons. Zipper also copper. Black ribbing around collar, wrist cuffs, and hem.
Look 2, inspired by ARRRGH!!!: Grey and green dress. Jewel neck, green yoke in front (sweetheart pattern) and back (straight across). Sheer green watteau train from yoke to just below waist, tapered, green fringe at train hem. All other fabric grey. Dress buttons in front; green buttons collar to waist, grey buttons waist to hem. V waist, high-low knee length skirt, ruffled hem. Sleeves loose, wrist length, cuffed, embroidered details along length.
Look 3, inspired by Blinky: Turquoise and amber necklace. Blue dress. Off shoulder sleeves, connected by draping. A line skirt, ankle length, slit to knee on both sides. Princess seams, front seams embellished with brown ribbon. Wide brown panels around waist, like a belt. Stomach pocket.
Look 4, inspired by Gunmar: Black jumpsuit. Partial peplum over each hip, black outside, electric blue underside. Shoulder pads, ruffled shoulder embellishments. Long sleeves. Ankle length pants. Square neckline. Zippered front. Sleeves, shoulders, outside legs, and zipper placket printed with irregular electric blue ‘cracked’ pattern.
Looks 1 and 4 could also be interpreted as Megamind looks if the jacket’s metalwork were switched from copper to silver.
