#WGT memory no.3: An absolute highlight of #WaveGotikTreffen2019 was the Extinction Rebellion Leipzig demonstration, 'Trauermarsch für aussterbende Tierarten' - an actual funeral march to draw attention to the species extinction that is happening these days, too rapidly and unnaturally. It was an incredible action, hard to put into words. But the photos will tell the story. At the end of the march we had the absolute honour to play and induce the 'die-in' with our song Restart From Zero. Feline rewrote a special last verse, just for the occasion and at the end of the song everybody pretended to drop dead and stayed on the ground for 5 minutes. The silence and the message of it during the march and the die in was so powerful. Goosebumps. Today, there will be a digital demonstration for the same reason as part of Darkstream Festival.
