WGT 2025 - just a short two day visit without getting a ticket, so - same as I did last year, basically. I was attending another rather large event the week before and - I'm heading towards my 50s, so things aren't that easy and more :D - but fortunately, I have dear friends in Leipzig who always have a spot to sleep and I don't live that far away from Leipzig - even if I take the train, it's roughly a - mostly quiet three hour ride on the slow connection. We visited "Heidnisches Dorf" on the first day, which is one of the venues with day tickets (usually you have to get the 4 day pass for the whole WGT) - unfortunately it was relatively cold so we missed the last concert in the evening, but I just couldn't bear it any more once the sun was down. And on the second day, I went to see some old friends in a park in the centre of the city - the so called "Spontis"-Meeting, since the founder of it runs a relatively well known german goth blog since 2008 now, and we know each other since then as well.
Let's see if I will attend WGT again for the full four days and with a ticket next year, I usually visit a SciFi con that takes place at the same time, so it's always a very hard decision. I'll wait until some bands are announced for WGT - and guests for FedCon, so I can see what programme will be more interesting this time.
For those interested in my garments:
super fluffy skirt: a 90s original from german indie brand "Bäres" (that doesn't exist any more)
genuine leather coat: thrifted via Vinted
velvet corset: made by me, about 15 years ago
velvet turtleneck shirt (second pic): also thrifted
cold shoulder velvet dress: made by me - just before WGT
crochet scarf: made by my friend Annette from Leipzig - I borrowed it from her that day :)
Pike boots
jewellery: JuSa necklace from Luciferotica on Etsy, Choker: Alchemy England, silver bangles: had them since the late 80s - the black bead necklaces were once a gift from my dear Annette, many years ago.
