http://www.wavemakergrants.org/2021-grantees/2bh97fm7rk3n8ap8gabfarla3p6k61 Our project, Variety Reinspires, aims to use VR (Virtual Reality) to combat the isolation and limitation of freedoms that most seniors live with in our society because research has shown that more than 50% of seniors are experiencing depression and/or isolation, making loneliness among seniors a mental health epidemic larger than COVID-19. This project will provide opportunities for seniors to virtually leave the four walls of their community to check off bucket list items and engage with the world in ways they never thought were possible again.
