I will be rewriting A Graying World Gen 6 from the beginning. I’ve decided that I wanted to continue my legacy but it’s gotten a bit too unmanageable for me as it curently stands. There are so many little subplots that it takes away from what’s important which is Gracie’s story. I wasn’t able to do it justice last time, but I’m going to give it another go and try again. 

What will be different: 

     > No time skip! We’ll start with Graciela as a teenager. 

     > Everything that has happened in gen 6 currently will be scrapped with the             exception of the origins story. Forget everything you know! 

     > Some characters will be phased out of the story, new ones will arise. 

    > Way more action, less filler explanations. 

    > Clear end goal for the gen, with a story that will tie up some loose ends. 

I will be alternate updates for Wren’s Song and AGW unless inspiration for one takes charge. Should be fun to return to! I’m excited to get started.

Anyway, mom got sick because Emerson and Peyton are both humans like dad. Grandpa told me that because they don’t have powers like me, Pax, or Waverly, that they took mom’s power to compensate. Or, her energy. She’s still a vampire but she’s more lethargic. If not for Adele’s help, mom wouldn’t have enough power to give to Em, Peyton AND herself. We all thought she was going to die. That was almost 3 years ago and mom is still recovering. But, she’s doing a lot better now. Thank the watcher.

Pax, Harmony and Camilla are 16 years old. Me, Nerissa, Braylen and Leon are 15 now. Waverly and Gregg are both 8 and Em and Peyton are 2 years old. Dad is sick now too. But his affliction is of a broken heart. He doesn’t like to see mom so lifeless. He’s had to take on all the responsibilities of the house. Ethan moved in to help as much as he can. Now that we’re old enough, Pax, Camilla, Nerissa and I help out too. Pax cooks dinner, Camilla does laundry, Nerissa cleans up and I help dad with the kids.

Until death do us part, my parents promised each other. Even now under these tough circumstances I feel that love. But thinking about my parents always makes me think of Leon. I can’t help but wonder why he’s is gone, if we promised the same thing. Until death do us part, right? Even if his marriage proposal wasn’t one out of love, it still meant to me that he wanted to be by my side forever. I always have this thought in my mind. Where was Leon when I needed him the most?

Gen 6 Teaser: Waverly

Waverly paced back and forth, eyes darting all over the room. His best friend was by his side, a comforting silence looming over the two. “What if...what if she gets mad?”

“I’m the one who should be worried,” Gregg said. “It’s my fault we’re asking her for help.”

Nerissa looked on at the two teens, a smile forming over her plump lips. Watching them get up the nerve to talk to her was hilarious. They were family. They shouldn’t have felt nervous to ask her for her help. “Whats up dweebs?”

Waverly jumped, stumbling backwards a few inches. His concentration was off, and by the look on Gregg’s face, his friend was going through the same thing. “We need your help,” Gregg said, breaking the heavy silence. “Please.”

“What can I do for you?” She asked, kicking her feet against the wall and leaning on it. 

“It’s Gregg’s pack,” Waverly began, biting his lip. “We think we found them.”

Nerissa furrowed her brows. “How?” Gregg was put in the Gray family’s care after being abandoned by both his pack and Audric. When he was old enough to question things, he asked why he was with the Grays. He had always been an aloof toddler, but was even more so reserved from the family when he grew older. It was clear to him, he had told them all, that they were not his pack. They may have acted like they were his family, but his werewolf blood flowed with a bond to others. His real, biological, blood family...pack...clan, whatever they were, were out there somewhere. 

“We just did...” Gregg’s voice trailed off. He looked to Nerissa with pleading eyes. “I’m grateful for all the Grays have done for me, but I’m not one of them. Not by blood at least. I feel this insurmountable rift, a hole that needs to be filled. Nerissa, you of all people would understand that. That’s why we’re here. We need help to venture out and approach them.”

Nerissa’s gaze fell onto Waverly. “You wanna help him find home?”

“Of course,” Waverly said. “He’s my best friend. I’ll always be there for him.”

 “You should have let me die.” She felt his grip on her waist tighten. He was angry, she could tell. He tended to show his feelings more than he wanted to admit.

“Let you die?” He had raised his voice. Charlotte didn’t flinch as she watched him. She didn’t know there was any room between the two, but she was proved wrong as he pulled her even closer to him. She could practically feel the beating of his heart. Or…was that hers? “How the hell was I suppose to let you die when every time I close my eyes I think of you? This wasn’t my intention. I didn’t want to fall in love with you. But, that’s your fault for being everything I didn’t know I wanted.”

Charlotte widened her eyes in shock. Had he just…he did. He dropped the L bomb. He loved her. More than that. He wanted her. She had never felt wanted in her entire life, not even by the family she so adored. She didn’t know what to say, and Jeff looked like he was done talking. He slammed his lips onto hers in a passionate rage. “How dare she,” He thought. “Make me fall in love with her and then want to die.” To hell with that, he’d never lose someone he cared about again. Even if she ended up not returning his feelings.

When he pulled away, he heard her small whimper. “Jeff…”

“Hmm?” He mumbled, forehead against hers. “What’s the matter?”

“I didn’t know that humans could kiss that well.”

“Seriously?” He rolled his eyes. “I give you all of my pent up emotions and that’s what you say?”

A smile rose on her lips, and it made his heart jump. He had kissed her, and she smiled. He hadn’t felt this giddy in a long time. “You said,” She began. “That you needed me to throw it in your face that you’re human every five minutes.”

“Idiot,” He whispered, planting another kiss on her lips. “You’re so aggravating.”
