CSUF News Center - 'Frozen' Animator Returns for Sequel

CSUF arts alumnus Wayne Unten reprises his role as animation supervisor of Elsa in Disney's "Frozen 2," hitting theaters Nov. 22.

Quote:  "When production on the first film ended, it was hard to say goodbye to a character that I spent years working on," he says. "So it was a joy to spend more time with her on this new journey and see how she's matured and grown."

Golden Age of Insect Aviation: The Great Grasshoppers  from

Wayne Unten  

"In 1903, Olivia Wright was the first to pilot the great grasshoppers of North America."

While taking my kids to the playground, I shot live-action footage of a grasshopper, using my iPhone. This is one of many short animated clips I've made for fun.  I might continue this particular clip as an Insect Aviation series... who knows :) It was my first project using TV Paint animation software. (No rotoscoping used.  Where's the fun in that?!) My work-in-progress can be found on my blog: animatingforfun.com.
