Exams Not Derby Game
Hello everyone
Basically this blog is a letter addressed to Children and Parents/teachers/educational institutes. Every time when results are around the corner or even for say exams are nearing, many suicide cases fill up the news and make it to the headlines or get viral over social media. Such cases of young students committing suicide for fear of examinations and their outcomes are not pleasing at all to read when you open the Newspapers.
I will be addressing this blog to two important aspects that is Parents/teachers/educational Institutes and secondly to Young guns(Children).
To,
Parents/teachers/Educational Institutes,
Remember that in your class there will be a future cricketer to whom the subject like Mathematics will not be of much use, there can also be a potential Lawyer to whom geography will not matter much, etc these are such few examples. My basic point is that Exams are not a derby race game where you all breed horses and push them to come first without any reasoning. If children are being unable to cope up to extreme pressures of exams and getting marks, there is some fault in the Education system. If you want to your child to excel in studies rather than pressurizing them create a positive study environment. Now for example History otherwise is not that easy subject and when children Learn History many of them get stuck in remembering dates and the events that follow. So the best thing that can be done to make children learn History and nail it for them is to explain the History chapters like an innovative story which they can easily get the concepts clear.
Now the question will rise that do we have that much time??
Answer is simple you should adapt this technique right from the start when the school starts and at that time minds are fresh. If you all start adapting this technique believe me Children will progress and results will give the answers.
To,
The young Children
First thing to remember is no exam in life is greater than your life. So please do not even think of committing the most heinous crime of suicide. This is the biggest thing I wish to tell you. Exams only become tough when you are not prepared but if you are ready no exam is difficult.. I am mentioning this because of a personal experience which i must not reveal to you.
Education is very important because this is the biggest power and when you are educated nothing in life can pull you down. Take Interest in studies but also follow your passion. Say if you interested in sports, do it, or you have a dream to be a painter Paint side by side your studies. I have mentioned in previous blog also “Ask “ if you are not getting any concept clear.
I end my blog with the hope that when this letter reaches you all through all mediums you may find it helpful
Remember Your child is not a Horse and exams are not racing ground.
