I don’t quite understand what’s wrong with this. Is it looked down upon when white girls are appreciating actors of colour? - or am I missing context in which they said something rude or over-sexualised the actors? Apologies if I’m missing something, I’m genuinely curious.
almost always white women feteshize black and brown men to a disgusting degree, and i have seen them do so to black and brown men in hollywood so much in the last 5 years. it’s more than just dev and trevante, it’s also calling diego luna and oscar isaac ‘sexy papi’ and ‘mexican daddy’ and shit like that. and when white women often engage in sexualizing these men they think it’s okay because they’re ~admiring~ them, when in actuality they are engaging in the historical practice of white women dehumanizing black and brown men. so i am very wary of white women who are extremely vocal about their love for black or brown men.
