After Elena finished her dance degree, she felt like she was on top of the world. She had stayed clean from her eating disorder for three years, she had just finished dancing the lead role in Julliard’s student dance workshop, and having that exposure meant that she was offered a place at many company around the country. But, not the one that she wanted. As hard as she tried, Elena still did not get into her dream job of the New York Ballet. However, she was offered a spot when a contract ended in a year, but she still needed money. San Francisco, Los Angeles, so many others had offered her jobs, but she was confused as to where to go. That is, until she spoke with Piper Fritz, who she’d been in a ‘thing’ with for years. After hearing that Piper was moving to LA, so she accepted the yearlong job there. The arrangement was so much different than Elena imagined. Of course, she loved Piper, but after gaining the closure she needed with Lily, she finally let herself fall for the brunette completely. It was an amazing year, but, like all good things, it had to come to an end. Elena liked to think that it ended on a good note, but the trip back to New York broke her heart harder than she’d ever admit. It tore her up inside, so badly that it, and the pressures from other dancers in the Ballet, made her relapse. What saved her? A man. Of course, he was no Piper, but Elena had come to terms that she and Piper would never be a thing again. However, she gained determination, and it paid off, making her the youngest dancer to ever dance lead roles for the New York Ballet. She became the prima donna, but it did not change her, it only humbled her. Part time, she teaches ballet at a dance school, and has recently gotten engaged, but Elena knows that there’s something missing from her life, and that’s Piper.
