WBSEDCL Expands Power distribution India Procurement
WBSEDCL has issued a Rs 392 crore e-tender for the manufacture and supply of 8-metre and 9-metre PCC poles under a two-year rate contract to support its distribution network expansion. The procurement is open only to genuine manufacturers, with bids accepted from 30 July to 20 August 2026 and technical bids scheduled to open on 24 August. The contract includes a price variation mechanism, Rs 6 lakh EMD, and 10% security deposit provisions while maintaining the original commercial framework through the pre-bid corrigendum.
The tender reflects the growing use of long-term rate contracts to strengthen procurement continuity for utility infrastructure projects.
