FUTURE DREAMS: TMI VIDEO 

‘a tmi video... interesting,’ jaesun thinks to himself. ‘and thirty seconds of it. what can he do or say in that time period?’ part of him wonders if he should try to make something in the kitchen in thirty seconds but is there anything he can even do that quickly? even something simple like a latte might take longer. well, unless he gets everything ready in advance, he supposes.

he ends up practicing how to make a latte in such a short period of time while also focusing on speaking about some fun facts. he finally manages to simplify the process enough that he can make a drink in 25 seconds, leaving him time to introduce and end without being distracted ( maybe ). he had originally thought of rapping his facts but he was still unconfident in that and the last thing he needs is to be called a try hard while already failing.

the camera starts and he smiles brightly. “hello, i’m legacy’s ahn jaesun. you all know how much i love food and drinks so here i am to make you one of my favorite drinks, a vanilla latte!” his hands focus on moving the simple ingredients from their respective glasses into the main glass. 

“i’m the second oldest of five kids. you might know my younger sister jaehwa who’s a member of lgc girls.” with the ice in the glass, the coffee goes in first. “the first time i made a meal was when i tried to cook for my mom for mother’s day when i was seven. i nearly burned down the house and she asked me to please never cook for her again but she’s since changed her mind about that.” he laughs at the memory even though it had been slightly traumatizing for him at that age.

“when i first moved to korea, my korean was pretty basic and so i went to the convenience store to buy something my grandma asked me to pick up. the cashier asked me all these questions and i got so scared that i threw my money at them and ran. i definitely overpaid for the eggs i bought.”

the milk goes in and he stirs the glass, the drink now coming to look like the finished product and with the final pour of the vanilla syrup, it is completely done now. “and finally, i sing very loudly in the shower. i’m very sorry to my roommates,” he notes as he salutes the camera and bows. “thank you for watching. ahn jaesun signing off.”

legacy project: future dreams s.2 (the entrance)

jaesun can’t believe that season two of future dreams is starting already. it feels like season one had only just ended ( well, that isn’t far from the truth ) and now they were at it again. part of him wants a break, wants to tell them that he’s not going to participate this time around. however, he knows he could never actually talk himself away from an opportunity, unless he were injured and physically unable to do such a thing. 

right after the new year, jaesun is being whisked away to the hair salon once more to get his hair and makeup done for the show. however, instead of going straight to the pyramid seats, they’re first watching footage from the previous week with all of the new contestants who weren’t a part of the first week. 

“wow,” jaesun’s eyes widen as he watches. they look so cool, he thinks to himself, wondering if anyone had been watching them last season if they would have thought the same. or is it only because it’s not the first time anymore that it seems much cooler?

he gives a nudge to the person next to him and points to the screen. “did you just hear what he said?” he asks, but the other is too busy to pay any attention to him so jaesun just continues to nod along as he watches the rest of the footage.

before he knows it, it’s over and they are whisked away to an interview room to share their thoughts about the last season and what is to come. 

“how do you feel about being back here?”

jaesun chuckles as he looks at the camera. “it’s crazy to think we’d just finished wrapping up season one and we’re here again. i’m excited though. excited that i get a chance to do this again. i think there were things in season one ... or rather, sides of me that i didn’t get to show. i hope i get to show those this time around,” he notes.

“what exactly are those things that you’d like to show to the audience this time?”

“ah,” jaesun rubs the back of his neck. “well, i can’t reveal all my cards right now, can i?” he flashes a smile. “i promise you’ll see them if you keep an eye out on me, hm?” he hopes it builds some suspense and that people will indeed look out for him this time around. just maybe he’ll have a better chance this time if he already knows a bit more of what to expect.
