“Where’s Herbert?”: My Thoughts on What He’s Up To

It’s been quite a long time since we’ve seen Herbert around, the last time he made an appearance was in January as Darth Herbert at the Stars Wars Rebels Takeover party. But what is our old friend Herbert up to now? I have a few thoughts on what the suspicious polar bear may be up to in the next couple months.

The first sight of suspicious Herbert activity occurred when his name was abruptly pulled off of the mascot appearance calendar for the 10th Anniversary Party without an explanation. Club Penguin had released a calendar complete with meetup times, servers, and names of mascots, including Herbert. However, when the calendar was officially released on the blog on September 30th, Herbert’s name and meetup information was no where to be found. This definitely creates a suspicious aura around Herbert from the start, especially because there’s a lack of any explanation from Club Penguin.

Though very indirect, Club Penguin did release two tweets related to Herbert’s removal from the list:

My belief is that if Herbert’s removal from the meetups was just an irrelevant mistake made by the team, then they wouldn’t have made the effort to tweet questioning Herbert’s whereabouts. It seems to me like Herbert’s situation is no accident, and is definitely important to the festivities happening from October-November.

Another alarming Herbert clue is in this week’s, October 8th, new newspaper in the questions section:

As you can see, a reader who goes by the name “Notta Bare”, which sounds a little bit like “Not a Bear”, is asking about the bots from the 10th Anniversary Party. The name is a definite indicator that Herbert was guilty of asking the question and he was just trying to (unsuccessfully) conceal his identity. Even worse, Gary put the blueprints right in the newspaper, meaning that Herbert can easily access them to his advantage.

The question still stands: What is Herbert doing with bot blueprints? Well, my idea is that he will be creating plenty of them to attempt to sabotage the Halloween Party. This idea was not pulled out of thin air, I do have my reasons. Many of you may have already seen, but many of Club Penguin’s Halloween Party rooms have been leaked. In one of the images of the party rooms, the Beach in specific (which is also the room that was completely leaked/released on mobile) was distinctly robot themed (picture credit to Trainman1405 of clubpenguinmemories.com):

You can see the Robo-Maker 3000 pictured next to the Lighthouse, and you can also see the many penguins who took advantage of it and turned into robot penguins that look super similar to the ones at the Anniversary Party. Because of the presence of robots at Halloween, I definitely feel that Herbert is planning to unleash his bots at the party this month. He’ll probably try to use a robot army to take over the island.

Another speculation I stumbled upon that relates to the Halloween Party is the current state of Herbert’s website, ClubHerbert.com. The picture below is featured on his site:

Now, this image does not have any extremely blatant stand-out clues to it, but something worth acknowledging is the second item on his checklist, which starts with “secret meeting with…” and the next word is covered with a spring. You can kind of see some letters underneath the spring, so many players have made their best guesses. Popular choices include Tusk and Dot, based on the letter structure. However, with the uncovering of bots being at the Halloween Party, many believe the word is Bot or Bots. To me personally, it looks the most like Dot, but that’s just my guess.

The last piece of Herbert info we’re faced with was also, similar to the first one, found in this week’s newspaper. In the upcoming events, it says:

As you can see, the word choice of ‘spy’ seems quite significant. Usually, November parties are EPF related, and there hasn’t been much word about the party at all, so I’m really hoping it’s Hebert-related and that this is our first hint. I wouldn’t mind fighting off a new villain other than Herbert either though.

Overall, my prediction for Herbert’s activity from October to November is that he’s going to steal Gary’s bot blueprints, use them to create a bunch of bots for this Halloween army, fail miserably at trying to take over Club Penguin, and then maybe return for round two next month. To be completely honest, I can’t wait for Herbert’s evilness to arrive.

New Mission & EPF Expectations

Club Penguin recently released a teaser for the new mission being released on April 5th. The video is 2 seconds long:

Judging from the video and this picture, I've made some assumptions:

I believe that Hebert is back as usual, and that he is using that hot sauce that he stole from the pizza parlor for some plan. In the video, you can see that the Plaza is circled on a piece of paper, which is where the pizza parlor is.

Maybe Hebert will make some sort of hot sauce cannon or use the sauce to make him warm, which always tends to be his goal.

I just thought I would share my interpretation with everybody. What do you think Club Penguin has planned for this Friday?

Why Can't It Be and His Shadow In my Heart. Hayop! Siraulong story na to, walang ginawa kundi paiyakin ako. Walangya to! Pinatay yung bida. Hayop sa twist! Grabe lang hindi mo alam kung ano talaga ang mangyayari. Napakagulo pero sa lahat ng yan, ang ganda nung story, kahit sobrang nakakagago siya at ang sarap tumigil sa pagbabasa. HAHA! Magaling yung author. Maganda yung story para saken. Hanep! Gusto ko lang talaga magsabi ng siraulo, hayop at nakakagago! Kasi nakakagago yung story para sa aken! HAHA. ❤ Oh diba? Tapos ko na ang book 1 at book 2. Sige yun lang. HAHA! :)

Just finish reading "Why Can't It Be" for the second time~ Still, my reactions are like that time. the first time that I had read it. Nakakaiyak pa din. HAHA. Todo pigil naman ako sa iyak eh. Aba, makita pa nila daddy eh. :))) So ayun, walang kupas, maganda talaga tong WCIB. Hihihi. XDD Nakakaawa si Saiyuki, haysss. Kyou, patawarin mo na kuya mo.
