There's a disconnect, a gap, between being pulled and realizing why she's been pulled thanks to Bertha's anger. She's so focused on charging forward, on killing Nikolai, that she doesn't notice the thin, red laser of an explosive trap. His laughter echoes off the walls around them, lingering even after he leaves. He doesn't even have the decency to be upset at not getting a kill; he seems amused which only makes Bertha's blood boil.
She tugs get arm away from the squad leader. Upset that she didn't get to murder him. Embarrassed that she nearly fell for an admittedly obvious trap. Behind her mask, she scowls and curses in German before looking to Lupo. "I am going to kill him. I will keep his tongue as a trophy!" Not really; if his eyes are decent she will keep those instead.
"Permission to pursue." It's a request despite how firm her words come out. The yank away from certain death calms her enough to remember hierarchy. She cannot leave her team for this purpose without permission.
