my flatmate's method to apply mosquito net to the windows in the flat:

ask flatmate (me) through phone to measure the window

take 2-3 weeks of rest

acquire net

think about applying it

decide to act while at home alone

cut

not good

cut again

not good again

get angry and throw the whole thing up there and cut to size while holding it up to the window

too much net wasted so two of the windows won't get a net

that cannot happen. Solution: melt the net together with an iron

does not work

despair

complain to the freshly arrived other inhabitants

accepting flatmate's suggestion to sew the net-pieces together instead

flatmate's reasoning to the piecing instead of buying more net: only the person on the other side of the road will see the pieced net, and they don't know us, so everything is allowed.
