I wrote this because I want to see revolution. News cameras can point away from a protest, old and new media can be swarmed with misinformation, but I want it to be so evident that we want to live that it is impossible to look away. I want to see this mark in my home town, in the places I visit and the places I cannot.
I’m sure many of you have read or watched a story where the plot could have been resolved if people would have just talked. How frustrating it is to see two people with the same goal clash because they can’t or won’t meet with each other. We cannot afford this. Trump needs divisions in race, gender, religion, and ideology to prevent us from talking with each other. He would say anything to make you think it’s too late, that he is the god-king, and that nothing but divine action could undo, and that to protect our children, loved ones, and neighbors, we must not revolt against a system that will grind them up regardless. There could be a time where enough lies coat the surface where we cannot see the truth underneath, but before then, we have time to disrupt what is being laid down. The Simple Sabotage Field Manual might give you a head start. Keep learning; the cure for fear is knowledge, even if it can be a bitter medicine.
Go and draw clovers, find people you trust, and go make hope. You are loved, and I wish you good luck!

“I want to love more than death can harm. And I want to tell you this often: That despite being so human and so terrified, here, standing on this unfinished staircase to nowhere and everywhere, surrounded by the cold and starless night — we can live. And we will.”
