he’s busy, CLEARLY busy, when he hears the door knob rattling behind him. daisy makes some pitiful attempt to shut up so whoever it is will think they’re not there but, ward is sure whoever it is can hear something and get the point and will leave---- except not. the rattling stops and he hears the door open instead, (did he not lock it?), and ward’s first thought is to shove daisy down and reach for his gun, posing it at the corner as---- what the hell. “romanoff?”
