As some may know I sometimes talk mental health here because normalizing issues we go through is good.
This post will mention depression and a negative coping habit, hording.
Now for my lovely followers,
Hello it's great to see you all again. Many of you are familiar with the fact that I have been away for mental health reasons and I appreciate your support when you see me pop in and with my lack of story updates.
(I do plan on starting to write soon by the way)
What I want to talk about today is a semi embarrassing bad habit that I have while dealing with my depression.
I am a little hermit. My bedroom is my safe zone. My bed is my nest and I like having my things close to my nest. However these things aren't always good. I began hoarding not only my personal objects withing arms reach but unfortunately my garbage began to pile up around my bed also.
I never really cleaned because part of my either didn't have the energy to or in some strange way I found comfort in that mess. Yet it ultimately was making things worse for me.
This hoard has been growing slowly since at least December 2020. Startinf when I didn't properly put away Christmas gifts.. I do remember attempting to clean in the summer of 2021 but that was mainly clothes back then. I didn't start hoarding trash until late 2021 and it started with water bottles and paper plates.
And it built up until today.
What started as me just clearing out expired make up and reorganizing my make up kit turned into a good head start into cleaning my hoard.
AND IT FEELS SO GOOD YET SO SAD
I cleaned off 3 1/2 shelves of a book case that needs to be thrown away because its broken.
I also was able to clean up nearly 4-5 feet of garbage around my bed.
It doesn't seem like much but when I look at the garbage bags that I took out of my room I am able to realize just how much I actually did.
So as I sit in my mental box of shame for a brief moment for how embarrassing that all is. I am also proud of myself for pulling myself out of that hole. Now I am able to take the small steps to better my environment and cleanse my safe area to bring the positive vibes I should encourage my room to have.
There are tons of people who are good at math and have strange names.

i had a dream last night that a girl i’ve had a crush on for full on years called maia sent me a message on tumblr asking me why i thought she was pretty, and i met up with her in town in my nicest cutest outfit with my new heels on and i took sparkling echo falls rosé wine and champagne glasses and i told her that she’s beautiful on the outside but that she’s beautiful on the inside too and we cried and drank the wine and laughed and had a good time and ended up dating and it was the best and purest dream i’ve ever had and i miss it
