why do i like matt donovan? let me count the ways. i think matt in his own right is probably the most intriguing of the main characters just because he's the minority. he's not dating anyone directly in the middle of this chaos. he's not particularly besties with anyone directly in this chaos. he represents the average human caught between loyalty and insanity. because with him, he always remind me of that 'what would you do?' type character and i can't even begin to fathom what i would do if i were in matt's shoes. plus he's the character most like stefan imo. and i love me some stefan salvatore. even if he wasn't played by someone so visually appealing, i'd love stefan because he's so beautifully complex. so is matt. 

why i don't like him? every character on the show does something that pisses me off at some point or another. and matt definitely hit that with me when he was sheriff forbes' number one co-hort. plus i didn't really dig how he acted at the start of forwood. i could understand him completely though. he got a raw deal. 

favorite scene: my favorite scene is tricky. i definitely love his development with the whole vicki thing in season three. his scene with bonnie was very heartbreaking. i'm just also really interested in seeing a flashback with matt and elena in happier times together. i'm really interested to see any flashback with any and all of them before the gilberts died and the salvatores came back to town. i think it would help put things in better perspective. 

favorite matt episode.. smells like teen spirit. by far. 

favorite matt line.. well his whole speech to rebekah in the all my children episode was pretty hilarious. it was sad but funny.

favorite outfit: this is too difficult. wardrobe on tvd seems to be the same. like all the time.

matt otp: i loved matt with caroline. still interested in seeing matt and elena too though. i do love their scenes together. even if elena usually makes me want to punch things.

matt brotp: tyler is the obvious choice but i feel like tyler's outgrown matt. i'd be seriously cool with matt and jeremy being besties though. TOTALLY COOL.

matt headcanon: matt turns and caroline takes him under her wing. like stefan took her under his. 

matt unpopular opinion: matt doesn't support forwood. 

a wish: more scenes to dig into the emotional complexity that is matt donovan.

an oh god please don't ever happen: matt and bonnie. to a certain extent. (sometimes i am conflicted too) i want my girl to get some love but i really don't want all of the girls dating each other's left overs.

who do you ship santana, artie and mercedes with? :)

Ooh, that's a tough one, actually xD

So, Santana, I think I ship with Brittany, because she's always so happy and a better person around Brittany. At the same time, I'd quite like her to have another female love interest, just to see where that would lead, but that's probably just me, haha.

Artie, well, I actually really like the idea of Sugar/Artie. I think falling in love with one of the school losers could really help her become a better person, and she'd loosen him up a bit, too.

And Mercedes, well, I don't know, because it's not Shane and not Sam. I'd say Matt, but that might be racist, lol, and also I'm not a fan of just pairing people up for the sake of pairing them. Which is also why I'd rule out Rory/Mercedes, even though I wouldn't be opposed to it if the show went there. I guess I'd like Mercedes to meet a sweet, handsome dancer-type guy in college. That'd be a cool storyline for her :)

hey, correct me if i'm wrong, but you ship delena, right? i ship stelena, datherine and bamon and most delena shippers i know only seem to like the pairing because "damon is so hawt!!!1!", but you seem to be the kind of person who could have a rational discussion about this. i'd love to hear your thoughst! :)

I do, I do! For me the majority of it rests on chemistry. There's only been a couple small handful of times where I've felt like I sensed chemistry with her and Stefan, but when she's with Damon, no matter what it is they're doing, I just see this spark, like there's always something there, the tension the electricity. To me it's just there. I am the first to admit though, Damon is an asshole, that is just a fact. He's a jerk, and he's hot headed, and he's really selfish, jumping into things without letting anyone know what he's doing, getting pissed off when things don't go, or people don't do things his way. When it comes to Elena though, I feel like when it comes to her that's when he's his most selfless, and the only times he's done jerkish/assholish things to her are when he was feeling hurt and heartbroken (not saying that's right at all, because it's so not, but I just think it says something about his feelings for her). 

The problem is, I think all this happens because she's not as into him as he is her. I think she for has feelings for him, but there's a lot that stands in front of them, stopping her from letting herself actually feel for him the way he feels for her (all of it understandable)

I feel like they're one of those couples that will just never come to be, a constant case of wrong place, wrong time. Two identical lines forever doomed to run parallel to each other, so I'm just happy to get what they give us of them.

note: I have a shitty memory so I could be wrong on some things, or forgetting something, but as far as my memory lets me remember, this is how I see it. (I really need to rewatch)
