Pros and Cons of Blunt Weapons
This will be a general list of pros and cons, going into explanation on some points. It is NOT about any specific blunt weapon. Pros
There is no ammo, you'll never find yourself running out of ammo in a tight spot
Blunt weapons made from metal are extremely durable and unlikely to break
Blunt weapons need little to no upkeep to keep them functional
Blunt weapons will not get stuck inside a zombie or a piece of wood (should you miss)
Blunt weapons, especially those made from wood, are relatively light-weight
You don't need any particular skills to operate a blunt weapon effectively
Some blunt weapons can double as other tools (like hammers or crowbars)
You can find them all over the place
Cons
Blunt weapons made of wood risk being broken with repeated use, use on something too hard or used with too much force
There is a very limited range with blunt weapons
It may sometimes take more than one swing to take someone or something down, which will take more energy and strength
A blunt weapon isn't much of a deterrent against other hostile people, especially if they have guns
Blunt weapons can sometimes be clumsy, especially if they are heavy headed (like a hammer)
