Things that happened:

The 7 samples I slaved away at last semester are at the point of polished/cleaned up that I no longer give a fuck and I can deal with them on Wednesday during scanning electron microscopy. I also used the last of the ethanol in the metallurgy labs and ran before anyone caught me

The cast composition I couldn't do turns out was impossible with what I had so I spent 3 hours thinking I was an idiot when really no I was not. I got to use pretty silicon and I crushed it into tiny pieces because SURPRISE WHY DON'T YOU CAST TODAY WASA. SURPRISE WASA YOU SHOULD DO ALL YOUR CASTS TODAY

So I did what took me 3 weeks or so to do in 13 hours.

A lot of things almost caught fire and caught fire -- including a bin (because idiots), a stirring rod (boron nitrate doesn't like temperatures above 830 degrees celcius) and protective gear. Including a glove and also maybe the floor was a little smokey. My gloves and protective coat thing may have also started smoking when I was stirring said compositions that were setting my stirring rod on fire. There are a lot of innuendos in this I swear

My supervisor now has a burn

Wasa is safe and sound, she just looks like she fought a hybrid hurricane-chimney and her engineering hoodie is absolutely fucked up and dirty

I'm apparently going to a networking dinner with my thesis friend

I'm pretty sure my supervisor thinks I'm five years old

My persons did not catch fire and only one furnace broke today. But that wasn't actually my fault. I blame the Germans (poor manufacturing on their behalf. They said the furnace could go 1300 degrees and it had a seizure). 

ALL OF THIS HAPPENED IN THE SPACE OF THIRTEEN HOURS AND I AM ALIVE AND I AM GOING TO HUG MY PILLOWS AND MAKE A NEST OUT OF THEM AND SLEEP FOR FIVE HOURS BECAUSE I HAVE UNI TOMORROW HELP ME.

Grunting he rubbed his forehead. It was that time again. Bringing in the recruits they had collected over the past few months. Some recommended, some just found. Yondu had a bit of a reputation for being harsh on the new comers. He'd give them a few days to show they can handle it. If not, he'd kick them to the curb. Simple as that. 

Swiping through the display in front of him he stopped, his head dropping for s few seconds with a loud sigh. Knowing very well who was behind him but not bothering to turn around or even stand.

"Quill ain't here, I ain't got nothin' or taken nobody with a high price on it and I know you ain't here to be part of this here crew. So, what. Do. You. Want?"
