Okay so, for the record, Jane will deny until she's blue in the face that she frequents cafés with outdoor seating just so she can watch for interesting traffic. That said, she totally frequents cafés with outdoor seating just so she can watch for interesting traffic.
Such as (you guessed it!) the interesting man approaching the café. Carefully, she waits until he's looked her way, then raises her cup of tea slightly, tilts him a secretive smile, and waits to see if she's managed to hook herself some conversation to go along with her cup of tea.
