Isaac knew how hard the move had been on Camden; being uprooted from the life that was just getting started in Chicago had been traumatic and Isaac wished he could have avoided that somehow. And yet, there they were, and from the looks of it, his son still didn’t hate him from dragging him half-way across the country. He laughed softly when Camden protested that it was still too early, and he shook his head when Elena basically grabbed the child to stop him from running. He welcomed her lips against his own and relished in the way she was smiling, somewhat a rare sight lately. “I love you too,” he replied, resting his forehead against hers for a moment, then looked down at Camden. “Here’s the deal, dad’s gonna go get dressed, so you can finish without breaking your neck. Good?” 

     While it was usually a project to get the boy to wake up on time for school, or to wake up in a timely fashion at all for that matter, today he had been full of energy from the moment sunlight illuminated his face. Holidays were always different, something magical seeming to encase the day and make it easier to wake up. However it appeared that his mother wasn't appreciating this energy levels. Nearly the instant Camden felt his feet lift off the ground he began squirming, legs continuing to move as if trying to run on thin air. There had to be some sort of magic that could make him be able to break free of his mother and continue to decorate. His father had already seen to much too early! Why hadn't his mother used her hand to cover his eyes instead of picking him up?!

     When he had finally been let go Camden covered his eyes with his pack of streamers. "Ew, no kissing." He stated before his attention was drawn to his father talking to him. "Okay!" And off he went dashing around the room again.

(WeArePackVerse) Camden and Elena had risen early that Sunday morning. A feat in of itself given the young child's ability to sleep until afternoon. Of course there would of been a few noises downstairs but both had been sure to be as quite as possible in their morning preparations. Whenever Isaac would come downstairs he'd find Cam hanging paper decorations made with paint and crayons spelling out 'Happy Father's Day' and Elena finishing up breakfast in the kitchen. -wolfpupxlahey

Isaac was awakened by the smell of breakfast travelling up to the bedroom, and when he opened his eyes, he realized Elena wasn’t in bed anymore. He frowned, wondering whether he’d overslept, but when he glanced at the clock, he realized it wasn’t really all that late. He stretched his back and took a trip to the bathroom before making his way downstairs. When he walked into the living room, however, he stopped suddenly. “What—” he started asking, a wide smile slowly spreading on his lips as he saw the paper decorations and his son standing right below them. “Camden, you did this?” he asked, feeling his heart swelling in his chest.

(We Are Pack Verse) It was a quarter past the hour, twilight streaming into the house as day began to change to night. That evening schedules had conflicted and they hadn't had a sit down dinner. Elena had been upstairs most of the night while Camden had been watched by the twins. When his father had come home from work he had padded into the room with a confused frown. "Daddy, why is mommy crying? Is it because Aunt Allison went /away/?" -wolfpupxlahey

Isaac parked the car outside the house, but didn’t immediately get out. He took a deep breath, looking up at the building with the hint of a frown. It was impossible for him not to compare it to the house he, Elena and Camden had left behind; this was so different, so… it wasn’t their home. 

He walked in just a couple of minutes later, the work day starting to take its toll on him, but the sight of his son made him feel instantly lighter. And then he spoke, and Isaac felt a pang of pain hit his heart. He sat on the couch and gestured his son to do the same, a little smile on his lips. “Mom’s a bit sad about Aunt Allison going away, Cam, she—” he hesitated, trying to figure out how to phrase this the right way, when there was no right way to phrase it. “She’ll be okay, crying is not always a bad thing,” he told his son, offering a reassuring smile. “Sometimes you just get sad and after you cry it out, you feel better.”

There will be some revamping on Elena happening over the course of the next week. I will be keeping my two main group verses (We Are Pack and Dalcrest Academy AU) and editing her main verse, however I will be dropping all other threads (unless I've told you otherwise). I'm sorry if you've been waiting on a reply from me, if it's in my group verses you'll get them by the beginning of next week. My muse for Elena hasn't been cooperating with me lately but I'm working on getting her muse back.

General

↳ Isaac was born in the California town of Beacon Hills to Richard, a swim coach, and Sarah Lahey, a former teacher turned house wife, and is the younger brother of Camden Lahey. Growing up Isaac’s home life was fairly normal until the murder of his mother by an unknown party wreaked havoc upon his life. Following this event, Isaac’s father became distant and prone to fits of rage however he did not begin to abuse his children by locking Isaac in a freezer until the death of Isaac’s eldest brother, Camden, in the line of duty (army). Isaac, feeling powerless to stop the abuse in his home life, accepted the werewolf bite from Derek when it was offered; thus becoming a part of Derek’s pack with Boyd and Erica. However not long after this event, Isaac’s father was killed by the Kanima and he fell under the guardianship of Derek Hale. Later tasked with injecting Jackson with Ketamine to subdue him it was then Isaac began to question Derek’s leadership choices slowly beginning to trust Scott and when Isaac’s pack mates chose to leave Derek, Isaac went to Scott for advice. At first deciding that it would be safer for himself if he left town, he changed his mind and returned to help Scott. Four months later Isaac moved into the McCall home, Melissa now holding custody of him and over the course of a few months he slowly found himself becoming a part of Scott’s pack as he helped him and his friends uncover whom was responsible for a series of murders across town. He also slowly became closer with Allison after the death of her cousin.

Middle Years

↳ Following Elena Gilbert’s resurrection and awareness of the supernatural, Isaac and her began to spend more time together and quickly found that they felt a strong connection toward each other which seemed to defy every misconception they held toward the other. The two seeming to become hyper aware of each other, their previous tensions and fights morphed into an indescribable passion. He also had been helping Elena’s cousin Allison control the darkness that has been plaguing her which had intensified their friendship and caused slight friction between the pack as a whole.

↳ Having a few hiccups over his high school years the kidnapping of his girlfriend and later her being bitten by Scott McCall after Scott faced a foe which influenced his mind resulting in her losing her Wings of Power and becoming a werewolf, tension began to form between Isaac and Scott which would last into the coming years. Following this Elena and Isaac went to college in Chicago where Isaac would gain a lacrosse scholarship and study to become a social worker. During his senior year Elena would become pregnant with Isaac’s son Camden Thomas Lahey whom they named after his dead brother and her dead father. They would stay in Chicago and eventually be joined by Allison after she was turned into a werewolf. Isaac would also gain a job with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services spurred on by his own childhood experiences.

↳ Having been forced to uproot his life in Chicago by Scott whom called everyone back to Beacon Hills, Isaac is working as a social worker with the California Department of Children and Family Services and is often called in on cases by the local police and hospital involving children. While still tense around Scott, Isaac is very focused on protecting the Pack, especially his fiance Elena and son Camden. Now he must balance being a member of a pack on the offensive, planning a wedding, the tensions that have arisen by returning, and managing his normal life and case load.

Lyda had been feeling uneasy since early that morning. At first it wasn't something to worry about, just a buzzing sound in her ears which didn't last longer than a couple of minutes; annoying? yes, important? Not at all. At least, that was what she thought while she was having breakfast, absently reading over her Chem notes. However, as she walked down the halls at school, that strange feeling grew stronger with every step she took, and by that time it wasn't just that annoying buzzing —the one you get when being followed by flies—, but something else, something she just couldn't figure out yet.

The strawberry blonde spent her first two classes being unable to concentrate on anything that wasn't that sensation of something being wrong... or was it someone? She couldn't tell, not yet, and that was slowly driving her mad. God, and she was getting used to being the sane one again! But then, as she was getting ready for her third class of the day, things got different. And weirder.

Some people ran into her on the hall and asked about Elena, explaining how she hadn't showed up for any of her classes so far, and then it was as if that had rang a bell inside her head. The strange feeling which had been bothering all morning got a hundred times stronger, and even the buzzing sound came back, and it was so overwhelming she just wanted to scream.

That was it.

"Oh, God" She whispered, almost running among the sea of people in the corridor, desperately looking for Allison, Stiles or Scott; anyone who could help her fully understand what was going on. However, with a serial killer apparently hiding somewhere inside the school, finding someone seemed like something impossible. "Allison! Scott! Stiles!" Lydia started calling out their names; by scanning the crowd in silence she would do little to nothing.

Police Bulletin

A black Ford Fiesta has been found crashed on the side of the road on Oak Drive, North side of the preserve. The vehicle is one of two registered to Chris Argent and was reportedly in the possession of his niece Elena Gilbert, aged sixteen, long blonde hair, about five foot four inches tall. All patrols be advised that the crash is suspicious and there are signs that the driver was injured but was not found within the vicinity of the vehicle.

Two Heads Are Better Then One | Elena & Isaac

     Elena sat very still, feeling as if her whole world was suddenly crashing down around her. part of her was still in shock over the day's events and her body was still weakened from the sulfur she had inhaled during the crash and the thin line of it which seemed to keep her encased in the circle. She didn't want to believe this was really happening. Maybe if she just closed her eyes she would wake up in bed and find that this was all some terrible nightmare. Except she knew it wasn't, the crimson traces of blood in stark contrast to her creme colored dress and the sting of her wounds were proof enough of that.

     Please don't come Isaac, please. She pleaded within her mind as if the thought could somehow reach him.

     After what happened before maybe it could but something told her that he wouldn't listen anyway. Finally she seemed awakened from her daze as the door slid open and Isaac stood before her. Dread encased her soul as she backed up and blinked rapidly and the first tears she allowed herself to shed slid down pale features. The shock was leaving and being replaced by a reality check. This was real, Isaac had come and he hadn't brought anyone with him.

     "Isaac leave, you have to leave now!" Elena wasn't even aware that she had stopped moving backward and propelled herself forward instead trying to force her way through the sulfur barrier which only seemed to hurt her more, she just wanted, no, she needed him to get out of there before they hurt him too.
