Little Moroi

Hazel sat down on the couch and sunk into it comfortably. She felt much better from her feeding and being out of the sun. But she still hurt inside, in her heart. She still had her wish that hadn’t come true that would only come true if she did her best to be a good daughter. “My parents are going to be angry I didn’t get the groceries home yet,” she told Adrian anxiously. “I should get home soon.” But she didn’t want to go home. She didn’t want them to give her more bruises and say more mean things to her. She wanted to stay here with Adrian. He was so nice. She didn’t want to leave him and go back to them. But she had too.

Crimson eyes meet furious magenta and sunflower skies. A breeze swirls around Ayano, gently causing her hair to dance around her and the air feels charged with power. Her eyes scan Philadelphia's Fairmount Park. The redheaded girl wasn't sure where Kazuma was, having gotten into a fairly heated argument with him earlier that morning. That jerk. However, now she worked to clear her mind. She had a job to do and she could sense the dark energy surrounding the yoma near. Granted she wasn't exactly able to locate it like Kasuma could, but that was besides the point. The park, at first glancec was empty, causing the magic user to feel more at ease about calling Enraiha forth as she knew better then to use magic in front of the public.

     "Enraiha, come forth!" Ayano spoke, summoning the wooden sword by slapping her hands together, the sword appearing between her hands as she separated them. Movement to her right caught her eye and flames appeared across the sword as she turned, pointing it at the unknown party. Her eyes widened as she saw a man standing there, unsure how he had managed to sneak up on her. Based on the energy she sensed from him he wasn't human, but he wasn't like her either. Her face echoed confusion, as if she was trying extremely hard to remember something, until a light seemed to go off above her head. The flames on the sword faded, and so did the sword.

     "Who are you? Why are you here?" He was a Moroi. She had heard of them but hadn't met one until now. With the park so empty it seemed suspious, to her, that he was here when she knew a Yoma was close. Then again, she never even considered the fact that this was near the city the Moroi royal court was, so a Moroi walking around wasn't exactly out of the ordinary.

Clumsy Coincidences || Adrian & Carly

       "Vanilla Latte for Carly!"

The barista called out over the noisy, crowded coffee shop. Monday morning was always the busiest in the shop as other college kids flocked towards the nearest caffeine fix before eight a.m. classes. Monday's are her least favorite day, she thought to herself as she pushed her way through the crowd to collect her drink. When Carly picked up her latte and took a sip, a sigh of bliss passed her lips. Her muscles relaxed and her mood was instantly lifted. Coffee was the only way she'd get through her morning art class, and the best way to lift her spirits if she was ever homesick. It reminded her of her favorite sister, and the life she was liberated from.

Once again pushing through the crowd, Carly hastily made her way towards the exit. Usually she'd sit and relax before class, but the noise didn't offer the peace the blonde liked in the morning. Besides, it would be nice to walk around in the sunshine before her class started, she mused to herself. When she got towards the door, however, Carly thought she'd heard her name and turned her head back. In that instant, the door of the coffee shop swung open and the blonde made impact with the latest arrival. 

          "Oh!" 

Her blue eyes widened, a gasp escaped her lips, and the blonde tried to regain her balance without spilling any more of her coffee. Some trickled down her hand, eliciting curses under her breath as it scalded her. After making sure none got on her clothing, Carly lifted her head in slight annoyance to see who had been so careless to open the door when she was visibly in the way.

      "You're lucky my coffee didn't spill all over you with the way you barged in so fast."

Sydney's head was pounding, nausea was creeping through her stomach and she could've sworn she was going to pass out. For once, none of these symptoms had anything to do with the baby. Instead, she sat on the stool near the breakfast counter, her face in her hands. It had taken her a few hours to get past the I thought my brother was my boyfriend disgust she felt, but then she'd just felt guilty.

This was her fault. Moreover, the guilt was manifesting physically, which made her wonder if she had it in her to reverse it as soon as possible. Maybe Marcus could reverse it. Did it have to be reversed by the caster? Would he even be able to reverse it if it was cast on him? What was worse? The idea of your boyfriend being trapped in a body you could never be attracted to, or the body you are attracted to being occupied by your brother. 

"My head hurts," she mumbled looking up at Marc - Adrian. "This is all my fault. I shouldn't have pushed myself. It's the only reason the spell went haywire."

Marcus blinked the world back into focus, glancing around tiredly.  This is a terrible idea, he'd told her.  As usual Sydney hadn't listened, and he had been the one that had been blasted against a mildly sturdy wall in their most recent hideout.  Luckily, he'd been alright, save for a few bruises, but he'd gone to bed early, oddly tired for some reason.  Reaching for Rowena, he gave a breathy sigh, stretching out his aching arm.  

"You awake?" he murmured, and he would've kissed her shoulder had he not noticed the blonde locks falling over it.

"What the hell?!"  He hissed to himself.  Had Sydney gotten scared again?  Since re-education she'd had nightmares, and some nights, she'd come into his room, but she'd at least wake him up.  Where was Rowena?  More importantly, why was he in Sydney and Adrian's room?  Swearing to himself, he crawled out of bed, and walked into the living room, freezing as he saw himself in a mirror in the hall.

"Holy shit!"
