Video: The Next Black - A film about the Future of Clothing (AEG, 2014, May 21).

Though my research I also found this documentary that explores the future of clothing. I know it is a short documentary from the past but I think it is still so inspiring. Very intriguing and thoughtful! I'm glad to have watched it!

Video: Zac Posen Gives Stephen A Quick Science Lesson (The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, 2016, May 06).

As one of our group member (Vanessa) introduced optical fibers as a possible element to include within our product I wanted to understand optical fibers.  I guess a lot of people have seen Claire Danes dress and loved it. Zac Posen combined Fashion with Technology within the field of ballroom dresses and not some futuristic convention costumes. So for me, Zac Posen did an amazing job! This dress is made out of optical fibers. An optical fiber is a flexible, transparent fiber made by drawing glass to a diameter slightly thicker than a human hair (Geckeler, 1989). Optical fibers are used mostly to transmit light between the two ends of the material. I think it is a really interesting and modern way to integrate technology into fashion.
