doubtless, if the girl hadn’t already left by the time the blackrabbit had arrived, let alone AFTER she had. popgoes had quietly reported that there was a very spooked child, and bonnie couldn’t help but worry about whatever the girl had been sheltering herself from.
but it wouldn’t do to worry too much. there was a scared child, after all.
“the only thing i can tell you for sure is that you’re safe here,” she said, floating to at least somewhat get on the child’s level ( just a couple of inches off the ground, that was progress ). a tilt of her head and the gentleness of her tone could convey the emotion her facial features couldn’t. “my name’sbonnie. did you need any food or water?”
She was used to closets by now. Tight spaces where her sadistic freak of a bother liked to shove her into when he’d have enough of her crying, the place where her father had come to lock her up....being away from them almost felt unnatural at this point. She wanted to be away from that nightmare of a house, but she had forgotten how to deal with anything outside its walls.
This small closet was a refuge. A hiding place place away from her father descending rapidly into madness. She was tired of seeing people die.
Her head jerked up when the animatronic approached, thinking it was her father that had come to collect her. It’s far more relieving to see this rabbit...no matter how strange she may seem.
Nothing could be worse than him...
“Uh...” it took some time to find the courage to speak, the child hadn’t said a vowel in days at least. “I wouldn’t...mind some water...”
